If you have more than one position in a stock everytime you close or modify it the screen annoyingly keeps going back to the top , so you have to keep scrolling down to the stock your dealing with from the top , so frustrating and time wasting.
Never involve in spread betting nor CFD Trading (derivatives). 99% of traders lose money. Stay far away. “Financial charges” eat up all your money. For example, say you buy 10 FTSE100 contracts (go long), closing at 7,500. With a 20% deposit requirement, you need deposits of £15000. You and hold the position overnight. If the current SONIA (Sterling Overnight Index Average) is 5.19%, they will charge you a fee. F = V x I/b =10contracts *£7500* (5.19%+2.5%)=£5767 per year! Or 5767/365 = £15.8/day! Compared to the amount you deposited £15000, you lose -38.4%/year! For comparison, the best funds can only get up to 10% profit per year. So if you are a genius and trade as effectively as the best professional funds, you still lose -28.4%/year Of course the more you sell/buy, the more you lose.
All the older versions allowed you to look at mini graphs of all of your watchlist, this new version only allows you to look at one graph at a time, the charts load so slowly and frequently just don’t load. I’m an active trader and I’ve lost count of how many trades I’ve missed due to this clunky version. It’s trying to be a desktop version in a phone! That’s not what active traders want. They want to be able to check their positions in the blink of an eye. I’ve highlighted my gripes many times since this awful version came out, but it fell on the deaf ears that don’t believe in “If it ain’t broke don’t try and fix it”
I must say I’m not sure why people are writing bad reviews, I have been a trader for a few years now with city index and I must say I can not fault them at all. Great platform 👍🏻
Great app, great customer service, amazing insights, easy to use. I do recommend city index!
Please with the platform so far.
An easy to use app with charts that function very well, especially on mobile. The navigation is logical too - generally a good user experience.
The tradingview charting integration and bespoke analytics make the platform standout vs other UK trading apps. A top tier platform. There are a few minor issues that require small workarounds to get working properly but I expect these will be ironed out in future app releases. Very happy with the app and its usability.
Top app. Sorts all my trading needs.
