Awesome app, much better than the new version. Reason for 3 stars is that after selecting the film you want the app will randomly switch film types constantly. Really, really frustrating and disappointing when you go to review your images and find that it’s switched to a merry Xmas theme and not black and white. Fix this bug and it’s 5 stars easily.
I’ve been using Hipstamatic for over a decade and it still brings me a lot of joy. If you like serendipity, creativity and the ability to create a unique look to your imagery, this is the app for you. Hipstamatic team, thanks for creating a reliable, regularly updated app that stays true to its principles. Long live Hipstamatic!
new iPad arrived today and reuploaded this app and restored all my purchases. It’s completely unusable. It crashes as soon as I load a photo in. I’ve easily spent over $100 on this app and unless I hear back from support I’m going to have to assume I’ve wasted all that money. VERY DISAPPOINTED
Not happy with this app as i can’t even access it it keeps glitching out of the app I want a full refund
It’s a great app. The only thing stopping me from using this as my regular camera app is that it’s not reliable. It crashes waaay too much and always has unfortunately. I have been using this app since iPhone 4 and it’s still doing it on 11 pro. It’s why I’ve stopped buying the new film and lenses for it.
I can’t emphasise enough how awesome is the support for this App - big thanks to Allan for his help when I changed Apple ID upon getting the latest iPhone and lost all my prev purchases. Got them all back and can now go out and take pics to my hearts content ! Grateful and relieved
I started using Hipstamatic when it first came out and have been dipping in and out ever since. Recently I came back to it for a project I am playing with and with all the improvements they have been rolling out (and the jump in the iPhone camera since the 4), Hipstamatic is fast becoming my go to when I am looking for something more than a quick snap; and the ability to post edit any photo you take has to be one of my favourite features. Yea, Hipstamatic is still as cool as the first time I used it! A big shout out to Allan in support for some of the best support I have seen.
I’m trying to turn on flashes/film that have been turned off somehow (I have a new phone) and it crashes every single time. It’s irritating.
I was a big user in the early days but not in the past few years. I have recently started using again and have rediscovered how much I enjoy it. Sometimes it crashes but no big deal - I just close the app, and occasionally I have to restart my iPhone. And a shout out to Allan at Hipstamatic support for all the help he gave me to reset my account. Very quick and clear. Yep, still very much in love.
Adding packs, changing film, restoring purchase, you name it.... Random. But constant.
