ClassPass Reviews

Provides flexibility and options, but app functionality needs improvement

Hiyoshoko on

Singapore

Like it that it gives us various options of gyms and workout types. We can also adjust the subscription plan based on our condition and needs. Classpass also adds new gyms occasionally to keep things fresh. However, the ‘add to calendar’ function has been down for me (iOS user) for almost a year now. I have given feedback and was told that they are working to fix the bug. However, the function is still not working. Also, the app tends to lag now and again (screen froze) and I had to close the app and reopen it. There also tends to be a lag when pressing certain buttons (e.g. view schedule). Hope they can invest more in improving the basic functionality of their app to provide better use experience. One thing to note - some classes will get more expensive the more you book them.

App updates does not get automatically pushed down

App Store is a joke on

Singapore

I’m on IPhone 14 Plus and for the longest time, I’ve been dealing with the app always hanging after browsing a number of classes. I go to the App Store and do not see any updates pending like it does for other apps. Today, nothing loads except after a no. of retries and it got so frustrating that I had to delete the app and download again. Only then, when I’m on the app page, did I realise that there were a no. of updates but it was never reflected or pushed down. I’ve been dealing with a terrible app for months for nothing. Please look into it.

Drastic increase in price/credits per class after a certain number of attended class

Was around 5-6 credits/class in the beginning, now it's 9-13..

Unwilling to pause renewals for a months and keep my credits

ksaitor on

Singapore

Was traveling for a month and my travel destination didn’t have many ClassPass gym options. So my credits piled up. Asked support to pause the next renewal so that I can catch up on spending credits. Declined. Fascinating that a company would rather create a 1 star experience for a customer than pause a subscription for a month. Here you have it. Prior to this, had a rather positive experience with ClassPass. The only problem is lack of gyms with flexible gym-time hours. And may locations close their booking a day before. Kills all the proposed convenience of this app.

Shoutout to the customer support team

osnappu on

Singapore

I don’t normally leave reviews, but I wanted to make a shout to the customer support team. Whenever I’ve had to reach out, they’ve always been responsive and extremely helpful. I’m no longer subscribed to Classpass, but was very happy in the 2 years that I used the service.

Cancelled membership but was still charged

chermisu on

Singapore

I cancelled the membership, but for some reason it was not processed/recorded in their system. Hence, I was paying for months & didn’t even know I had credits to use. There were no notifications on “thank you for your payment” or anything at all until I checked my bank statement. Reached out to them, but they are only willing to compensate me 1 month. Basically paid ClassPass membership for NOTHING. Never going to use ClassPass again. Deleting this app for good.

Extra charges when you miss the class??!!

binbin96373792 on

Singapore

I just realised that they CHARGE YOU for missed classes instead of deducting your credits? What kind of business practice is this? When I pay for a monthly subscription, My credits should be deducted regardless if I attend or missed the lessons. How could you charge me extra for missed classes instead and retain my credits? It’s like if I pay $100 for this subscription, and if I booked and miss all the classes, I need to pay $200 instead regardless of what reason I have. What a joke! I’m so gonna terminate this plan forever.

Very buggy app

sil4rin on

Singapore

iPhone 13 Pro gets very hot after a min of using the app. Swiping up/down the search or class list will frequently cause the app to become unresponsive. App randomly crashes after a while of searching/browsing classes. Using the website is way better in terms of user experience.

Cool app to gain entry into variety of fitness activities

Easy app to explore fitness activities in any city. As a physical person, I love the interface and simplicity it provides.
