ClassPass Reviews

Frustrating customer experience

Bridget on an iPad on

United States

Frustrating scripts they give customer service reps when asking for something on the app’s help center. I felt pretty angry about the company at the end, even though I got what I asked for.

Sneaky Charging

Tiko Johnson on

United States

Very sneaky way of charging $60 for the first month without warning. Use another app.

Will steal your credit card

plstop on

United States

Absolutely disgusting scamming company I cannot believe them. I am so disgusted and you will have no help with the customer service. They do not allow customer service phone calls. You will get nowhere with tech-support they will steal your credit card to the point where you have to completely shut down accounts.

Love the goal, hate the execution

First, the positives: Classpass is amazing for accessing studio classes at an affordable price. I love the flexibility of trying new things without the pressure of committing to one studio/class. I’ve been very consistent with working out since using classpass. Now the cons: - the prices charged for monthly membership with this app are NOT consistent. My partner also uses the app and for no apparent reason, the membership options for him in regards to credits & monthly cost are completely different than mine. I am paying more for the same amount of credits. - the app is such a pain to use. Even when i search a specific studio name, it will either pull up nothing, will change the search term to something completely different, or will only pull up a single location despite there being multiple location options. - the 12-hour cancellation fee is pretty rough as someone with a chronic illness who needs to cancel last-minute due to health issues sometimes. There should be some exceptions to the blanket $14 late cancelation charge. - the amount of pop-up notifications in the app is so frustrating and makes it difficult to actually do what I’m trying to do. If they could fix these issues, I’d be giving Classpass a 5-star rating.

Great idea, bad app with consistent bugs

1. During chat with a customer support professional, the attach photo option keeps popping up. It is had to go back and edit a message with a typo before sending it. 2. Often the cancellation doesn’t work and the button hangs even if the app is updated.

Product team clearly doesn’t use the app

shelbyreviewinstuff on

This app would be better if product gathered insights from users or used the app themselves. There’s certain super annoying things that won’t resolve like I move cities, update my billing address, only book in new city, etc, but suggestions for new spots to try on my home page are all where I used to live. It refuses to update location. It also suggests I join classes tonight with a friend… three states over. Super annoying. I also don’t love the lack of studios available in my new city (same size) which is less on ClassPass than my complaint above. Just a heads up that the value of this app will vary greatly depending on where you live.

Worst app

Hey, my aunt has been trying to use the free trial to go to places near her house and we were supposed to take a class together today. However, the class got cancelled and now it’s telling her to resubscribe to use the account when her trial was supposed to go on till the end of the week. This is a money grabbing app that doesn’t even effectively let people use the free trial. My aunt has had these issues multiple times where the account gets blocked or the trial has disappeared. She even talked to someone and they reopened the account and now the contact us section won’t let her talk to a person because her account is not allowing her??? This is a waste of time app and I would recommend using something else.

Worth it

I’ve discovered so many studios I never would’ve stumbled upon. I love the flexibility of repeating classes but also trying new studios. Worth the money. Great way to make friends too if you’re new to a city or just in general.

Pretty cool!

I’ve been recommending this app to all my friends. It’s been cool to try and different things! Had a day full of yoga, pedicures and massages today. Great way to explore different businesses at a discounted rate!

Loved this app until…

I booked service with a massage business that ended up not existing and class pass wouldn’t refund the $100 in credits.
