## Cleveland Historical Description
Cleveland Historical is a free app that puts Cleveland history at your fingertips. Developed by the Center for Public History + Digital Humanities at Cleveland State University, Cleveland Historical is a mobile application that provides an interpretive view of the region's history. Find interesting people, places and events in Cleveland history, and take curated historical tours of the city. Each point on the interactive location-enabled map includes historical information about the site along with historic images from Cleveland's top archival institutions. Many sites also include audio clips and short documentary videos based on oral history interviews from CSU's Cleveland Regional Oral History collection (clevelandvoices.org). Cleveland Historical is a collaborative project with stories created by teachers, students, professors, and community members, and curated by the Center for Public History + Digital Humanities. Visit the website at clevelandhistorical.org.

If you see a historical site or topic that is not covered in your area of the city, check back often. We add new material on a monthly basis. If you would like to suggest a site or become involved in developing digital stories, reviewing content, or collecting regional history please contact us via email at digitalhumanities@csuohio.edu, on Twitter at @clehistorical, on Facebook, Instagram, or on the web at clevelandhistorical.org.

## Cleveland Historical Reviews in United States

### ***** "Great app!"
This app has been a valuable tool while researching my family history in the Cleveland area from the mid 1850’s. The photographs of buildings demolished long ago help fill out the stories from my parents’ childhood.
-- SJ Deb, 2018-07-02

### ***** "Great app!"
This app is very well put together. There is so much history, and detail about areas, and landmarks all around northeast Ohio. It’s a must for anyone living here or visiting.
-- Nate Tyler, 2017-10-15

### ***** "Great resource for Clevelanders"
Whether you want to know about local landmarks near you or follow a suggested tour this is a brilliant guide. It includes maps, photos, landmark descriptions and for some, audio clips of resident interviews. And it's free!
-- JimWSmith, 2016-11-29

### ***** "Fantastic"
Fascinating and well organized. Every Clevelander should have it!
-- OmicronBlue, 2016-11-07

### ***** "I use this all the time!"
This is absolutely wonderful and I still use this all the time even though I originally downloaded this a while ago. I'm so glad that someone took the time to compile all of this in such an easy to use format!
-- Eliz12341234, 2015-08-26

### ***** "Essential For Clevelanders"
Great information and history on a myriad of cleveland landmarks and sites, old and new. The design of the app is excellent and very easy to use. Nice work.
-- Sylvio1329, 2015-07-15

### ***** "Love this!!"
I never knew so many interesting things actually occurred in my city! This app is amazing. 😁
-- QueenOndi, 2015-07-05

### ***** "Fantastic!"
I absolutely love this app. It's like carrying around a Cleveland tour guide with you wherever you go.

There are tons of POI's with new ones being added fairly regularly. Plus, it's quite a user friendly little app. The only thing I would ask for is support for landscape mode, which would make viewing some photos and videos a bit more enjoyable.

All in all, a fantastic app that I hope all lovers of the CLE will use and support. Keep up the great work CSU!!!
-- JHRobb, 2014-07-07

### ***** "Amazing"
This app is truly awesome...if you love the CLE, this will enliven your appreciation for this town. If not, then F' you Jobu!
-- Minjie, 2014-04-06

### ****- "Cleveland Rocks!"
Cool idea!
