Good job - especially the little link to goes Navy train AG
I’ve used the app for years and like it. I don’t know when, but the lightning strike feature quit working. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled the app as suggested, but no luck. No response from support on how to fix it.
I couldn't tell of the Clime offer was the app itself or an addon. I didn't dare select continue for fear of starting a trial I would have to cancel later. No info on what Clime is. I couldn't back out of the offer either so I was stuck. All I did was download NOAA app to get better info after The Weather Channel update ruined the user experience. Please make it very clear what is pay to use vs free. It was not clear and I couldn't tell, so I ended up not being able to use it at all. Frustrating. Thx
This is a good weather app. But the increase in price from 10.00 per year to 60.00 is too expensive. Otherwise a 5 star app if it was not for the price hike.
I could not even use it once - got stuck at the payment plan screen…. There must be a way for people to use a free version easily!!
I am not sure the backstory of the company… what I do know is I was talked into downloading it because a friend of mine was raving about it years back for its reliability and features. Now, not only are they purely interested in sucking as much money out of unsuspecting (and likely panicked) customers when they are in need of detailed weather information and tracking, but the actual reliability and accuracy of their info is worse than the weather app already on the phone provided by Apple. I’m writing this review because I have been in a tornado and flood watch for about 9 hours all night with a few more to go. Seeing as I have a deaf mom, my girl, and my 2 animals all here, I as the man of the house want to make sure I can be as ready and informed as possible to get everyone into my basement if need be. My power went out last night at 4 AM and even when some of my smoke alarms were sounding off neither my girl or mom woke up somehow. And through my experience today comparing the two apps, it is clear that not only is this one less accurate and intentionally more “fear inducing” even if it is only slightly but they also don’t give you hardly anything important without trying to lock you into the most greedy payment plan of all time. Their “recommended” option that is defaulted comes out to over 400 dollars for a year lol thanks but no thanks. Immoral
Paid 20$ a year for the last 3 or 4 years and now it is 60$ a year.
Don’t really understand why my yearly subscription for this app jumped from $19.99 a year to 69.99, but as soon as I saw the email detailing the steep price increase, I immediately unsubscribed.
Charging to show where tornados, warnings, and watches are is insane. And $32/month??? Go pay a couple dollars for Radar Omega, or download AccuWeather, the weather channel, or something else, because prioritizing money over safety is horrible.
Not even weather apps can be free of ads these days. And of course, the predatory free trial and placement of buttons to make it seem like you need a subscription. Better off going outside and looking at the sky.
