Description

In this practice it is possible to carry out the synthesis of acetaldehyde (ethanal), used as a precursor in the polymerization of plastics, from ethanol and a sulfochromic mixture (chromic acid and sulfuric acid). The simulator recreates a chemistry laboratory with a three-mouth balloon, a Vigreux column, a condenser, Erlenmeyer, pipettes, a crystallizer, a Tollens test, a Fehling test, and a Schiff test, among other instruments and supplies necessary to perform the synthesis.
