I’ve always been careful while using the app, especially since there has been increasingly more occasional scammers, so this action felt unwarranted. As a result, I had to redo the verification process as instructed, including submitting my driver’s license, again. However, the system failed to confirm my identity this time, and the support team has been unhelpful in explaining the situation, including but not limited to which guideline exactly did I violate. They proved to me that their freezing/banning operations are arbitrary. Even though my account has been unfrozen now, it’s disappointing to see such a lack of care for its users. CMB needs to seriously improve its customer support and account management processes. The number of pop-ups from them is definitely higher than other dating apps. Beyond that, without mandatory prompts outside of basic info fields, you get plenty of empty profiles on a platform that supposed to be for “serious” dating. Notifications were hit or miss at times regarding likes, matches, and messages but oddly never prompts reminding me to check my new suggestions. My last issue, and the primary reason I’ll not be returning, is a situation I found myself in repeatedly. A person would send me a like, I would like back, I would message them, and they would never respond. Not only would they never respond, they never viewed the message. Thanks for finally refunding my beans, CMB, but your explanation and the policy supporting it is unacceptable to me, and it will absolutely influence my decision not to renew my subscription. To extent you are both selling priority likes and then taking unilateral action against them, it is ABSOLUTELY the moral and responsible thing for you to automatically refund the beans.
