Coffee Meets Bagel: Dating App

I upgraded my membership so I could see who liked my profile, success went through, I submitted two requests to support, and haven’t heard back yet. I heard this was a decent app, but I feel ripped off

I feel like only Asian people succeed and get matches while everyone else doesn’t get anything because the algorithm hides profiles on purpose. There’s a lot of racist and anti-POC sentiment within the Asian community I feel no one talks about enough, and the algorithm may be subconsciously discriminating against those who aren’t.

No one is going to paper push their way through an app so you can “verify” them. Goodbye.

As a long-time user of Coffee Meets Bagel (over 6 years), thought I had a couple good dates through this app, I was expecting a much better experience from this app. Recently, my account was unfairly frozen due to what appears to be a false or malicious report. I’ve always been careful while using the app, especially since there has been increasingly more occasional scammers, so this action felt unwarranted. As a result, I had to redo the verification process as instructed, including submitting my driver’s license, again. However, the system failed to confirm my identity this time, and the support team has been unhelpful in explaining the situation, including but not limited to which guideline exactly did I violate. They proved to me that their freezing/banning operations are arbitrary. Even though my account has been unfrozen now, it’s disappointing to see such a lack of care for its users. CMB needs to seriously improve its customer support and account management processes. This experience has made me lose trust in this platform, and I cannot recommend it to anyone seeking a reliable dating app. There are plenty of other options out there that treat their users better.

It’s been a few days no with this app and the experience is worse than it was when I wrote my first review (3 star). Only 1 or 2 suggested matches now, still can’t see the blurred out “like”. Online dating isn’t the same as it use to be. Advice for you CMB is if you’re going to be a free application; go above and beyond with scripting your codes to block scammers/fakes, listen to the active users actually looking for a relationship, come up with an original criteria to assist with matching and GET RID Of PAID since it’s no better than the free version.

In just the few days I have had this application or dating app , I have found it to be remarkable and full of well you will have to come see remember / INCREDIBLE !!

What an absolute waste of time. You spend a ridiculous amount of time setting up a profile before you realize that unless you want to pay a ridiculous monthly sum, you’ll never actually be able to see or chat with your matches. The whole interface is clunky and confusing and basically unusable. Any attempts to actually use this app functionally will give you a pop up of them begging for money. No thanks. I’ll have better luck at meeting someone at the local convenience store than on this app. 😒

Been on this App for 90 days, premium membership. I do get my daily”matches” at noon. Followed with a nice cute little message “…………. , this bagel liked me “. What bagel? I check my Liked area and nothing . Every day u get a message like this but no real matches . There so call algorithm…. lol. You spend all this time following the steps to tell them they are not your type . The just keep sending more people like the ones u don’t like . I’m also in Mn, all the do is send u people from Iowa, Illinois, Michigan…… where are the people in my area ? I have emails CMB weekly with little to no response . The only good thing that happened was being refunded for all my “ beans” I bought to send flowers. How does a bean become a flower ? Why am I send a flower to a Bagel, why can’t I send a topping? Stay away from CMB!!!!!

Very similar to every other dating app, but I was more satisfied with it when I was in San Francisco and New York vs Toronto.

You can only view profiles one time in the Discover section. I used to see lots of profiles with my search filter but now it doesn’t show me any more profiles. I don’t know if they intended it to be this way or not, but its as if profiles get blocked or behaves as if you skipped on them once you have viewed them. I would expect the profiles to be cycled after I have gone through all profiles that match my search, but now it says no profiles exist.
