Great app!

Great app, definitely worth the money for the quality.

Hard to find conjugations

iphonehighfivingfanboy on

When looking up a conjugated verb, it just gives the whole big list of conjugations - it should just find it and tell you which conjugation it is. Why make it so hard?

Great app, but...

Alexdimmock1234567890 on

This app is really helpful for any person learning Spanish, from any level, but there is no phonetic pronunciation guides as there are with the French and Italian versions of this app.

New version a disaster.

Boozm on

Since upgrading to the new version of this app I've been very unhappy. It's slow if it starts up at all and I bought the previous version in French, Spanish and German because the interface was beautiful and user friendly and the vocabulary broad. I feel I have been robbed of my net 60 dollars since the upgrade was made. It doesn't even start up on my iphone 4.

Not good.

I purchased a Collins dictionary which I used a lot and found the format excellent . I now have this poor substitute, please give me back what I paid for.

Charged twice for the same program

Dear Sirs/Madams I had to reinstall my iTunes in my computer and iPad and the program Collins Pro Spanish-English Translation Dictionary, did not appear in my Applications. I had purchase this program several months ago. I download it again thinking that it would be for free and now you are charging me again for it. Could you please rectify this error as I had already paid for it? With anticipated thanks, Estela Valverde

Great!

I was a little bit sceptical about the price, but I've been using this app now for a while and it does everything I wanted it to do. It hasn't crashed yet and it's easy to use, just like the conventional physical copy but it fits in your pocket. Overall it works well and I've been impressed with it. I would like to see a better phrase translater, grammatical rules or word origins possibly in the next update to add that extra factor and earn it 5 stars. Thnx guys!

lacks advertised functionality

Elektrius on

United States

there is currently no icloud sync. both the bookshelf and individual collins dictionaries by the same developer advertise syncing favorites and transferring them to other devices but this function is broken which, for an app with this price tag, is unacceptable. the developer responded to an email inquiry letting me know that they are aware and have no timeline as to when a fix can be expected. i have many favorites in an individual dictionary app and after buying another one of their expensive dictionaries i am unable to use them both in the bookshelf app because there is no way of transferring all the favorites. the favorites also don’t sync between the iphone and ipad versions of the dictionary or bookshelf apps. the developer either needs to provide a fix, which honestly is not that serious of a coding job, or update the store description before people spend $18 for each of their dictionaries expecting the advertised features.

Fantastic Dictionary

Don’t hesitate. Best I’ve found.

Not what it used to be

When I upgrade my phone to I phone 15, for some reason my original Collins Spanish dictionary did not carry over to the new phone and apparently is no longer available so I downloaded the current app. It is no where nearly as good as the older app. The older app had sound and pronunciation. It has a mode for examples and it was overall a better smoother more easy to navigate app. This current app is nowhere nearly as good as the older app. I am definitely disappointed with this current app.
