## Colonist.io Description
Colonist is an exciting multiplayer game. You take on the role of a Colonist by building settlements and expanding your territory while competing with opponents trying to do the same. Colonist combines extremely simple rules with tremendously deep gameplay. Use strategy, planning, and cunning negotiation to win.

You can train against bots, play with friends online, and even compete in our ranked modes for a spot on the leaderboards! We also offer a variety of fun custom maps to play on in addition to traditional expansions which add elements like ships and barbarians to the game. You can even play with more than 4 friends with our 5-6 and 7-8 player expansions.

In the store, you will find a wide array of custom colors and avatars that allow you to personalize your profile and show off. Pick a unique color and avatar combination to instill fear in your opponents!

## Colonist.io Reviews in United States

### *---- "Insane Pricing"
I get charging for your services but the pricing model to value ratio is wild. It’s incredibly expensive for one game. You can get Xbox game pass for less and that has hundreds of video games. It’s actually insulting.
-- Quaboplafon, 2024-12-30

### ****- "#7 Roll Rate"
Game is good, but every time you have over 10 cards the chances of you rolling a 7 is like 80% it’s ridiculous, and the rate that it’s rolled needs to be notched down
-- oommwwttffyybb, 2024-12-25

### *---- "This game is rigged, hear me out."
This game is rigged. It might seem fair for the first few games, but once you get into the 10s or 100s of games, you start to realize that the only way you are able to get a higher rank is by spending money.

You can have the best placement of your life, the other guy has a 3 and 4 for one settlement and maybe a 5 and 10 as their other, and then the game just casually rolls 10 3s and 4s in a row. Meanwhile, you’re placed on a 6 and you go 20 turns without a single 6.

Or, youll notice that the only time a die is rolled is when it’s blocking that 6. You’ll be unable to get a single decent roll but the second the robber is blocking it, it rolls 5 times in a row (not kidding, that same scenario has happened to me at least in 10 different games).

What my favorite kicker is is when you finally get to place your first building and the very next turn, your opponent rolls a 7, now being able to block you.

This game is rigged to get you to spend money, only winning games consistently when you spend. I would know, I spent about 5$ just to see if my theory was correct and sure enough, within the week I shot up to 1600 rating. That was a week ago. This week, since I haven’t spent money, I have lost 35/37 games I have played, right back to 1300 rating.
-- EffDelTaco, 2024-12-17

### *---- "Not random - lame"
Difficulty levels are set by rigging dice roles so bots keep getting 7’s. FAIL
-- JBFU2, 2024-12-16

### ***** "Amazing game"
I love this game. It is amazing. I love playing with family and friends. You don’t really need to do anything to make it better. It’s already amazing but if you want, you can make new update updates😊
-- Stanlovestammy, 2024-12-14

### *---- "Full of Cheats or poorly developed"
The RNG is so bad and they logic to “create” fairer games is trash. It adds an unfair advantage to one player or the other so most games are predetermined when the board is laid out and the first 5 rolls occur. There skill to overcome the poor dice RNG is beyond me. Losing to someone who starts on a far inferior position over and over is infuriating.
-- OUJay-2016, 2024-12-10

### *---- "Don’t recommend"
Not a very fun game. The servers don’t run well
-- thyTruth, 2024-12-10

### ***** "Best game ever"
If u want an addiction… this mf game
-- Ganj4, 2024-12-07

### ***** "."
Its good
-- Dixie baller, 2024-12-05

### **--- "Great game ruined by rude players"
The game and the app are pretty good, especially for something free to play, but it feels like half the time playing 1v1 I get matched with someone who’s just rude and mean in the chat. It takes a lot of fun out of what should be a fun simple competitive game. If I wanted to get cussed out by immature slobs, I’d fire up the Xbox and play call of duty
