### ***** "Easily the best comic reader"
When I received my iPad I spent ages researching comic book readers since I felt the iPad was the perfect size for reading comics comfortably.

In the end I decided on ComicGlass because not only was it fast in rendering the comics, not only could you stream comics directly to your iPad without the need for cables, but it was also the most customisable of all comic reading apps.

Finally, updates are released pretty frequently and you can change the skin of the app if you wish.

With server to download and stream from you mac, and the plethora of custom options it comes with, this is the most functional comic viewer out there. Hands off. 

Could do with better in-app graphics - the library skin is plain ugly, and so are the book stacks icons, the ones used to mark the collections. :)

This is a really good app for reading comics. The couple small issues I can see are 
1) it would be useful to have a two way sync with your computer i.e deleted/read comics are deleted from your computer on sync. 
2) It's a little slow to render double pages that then go back to single pages when you try to zoom.

This is one of the best apps out there. It's very easy to transfer files on to it, and then it let's you do one thing I have not seen any other app do......you can organise files into folders!!

The new iPad v3 Retina update makes comics like great! The Retina bookshelf looks fantastic too. Very quick in operation makes using it a joy. The interface, while very usable, could do with iOS-ifying a bit; also a quick way to delete documents after reading them would help. I'd also like to have a preference to stop it backing up my comics when iTunes syncs.
I've wasted so much money on supposedly better Comic viewers but this is the best I've come across.

### ***** "Lovely comic book reader!"
I really like this, it's infinitely customisable and very flexible. You can fiddle and play with the page style until you're absolutely comfortable with the layout and page transitions. 

It also works quickly and easily with iTunes and unlike other comic readers out there the developer is keeping this up to date (comic zeal take note, people will not buy if you don't fix bugs that make your app continually crash since launch!). 

Two small things though. 

1. I've noticed that unlike other readers it doesn't tolerate files that have an incorrect file extension (.cbr instead of .cbz when its actually made from a rar file or vice versa). I'd never even noticed some files I've had (and used) for ages had this problem until using comic glass. User fix = change the file extension. Developer fix = update this please :o)

2. Since the iOS 5 update files can no longer be opened with the 'open with' option (if you want to send a file to Stanza or Good Reader for instance the choice menu doesn't popup properly). If you'd fix this that would make me happy!!!

Otherwise I'm very happy and use this more than any other app on my iPad. Keep up the great work ;o)

### ****- "The best comic book reader?"
I previously used Bookman as my "go to" reader before the developers decided to ruin it with the inclusion of adverts and a ridiculous price point to simply remove them. This act prompted me to go on the search for a new reader.

I looked at Comic Zeal on a friends iPad, but, despite the multitude of glowing reviews, it wasn't that good to justify the rather high price.

After further research I settled on ComicGlass and maaaaaan, why did I waste time with any other comic readers? This App is cheap and above all brilliant!

The bookshelf displaying your comics "encased" in a transparent sleeve is inspired. The ability to create a new cover for your comics is genius, as is being able to rename your comics on the fly.

I can't rate this App highly enough.

Edit: Since using this app (on a daily basis) I've come across many cbr files which this App fails to recognise (an error message "no pages" or words to that effect appears). These files are easily read by other similar Apps. So I'm having to use those Apps to read these books but I'm straight back to ComicGlass to continue my reading...

Edit 2: They've now added an option to open your files in other Apps! Genius!

This is superb! It seems to navigate faster than Comic Zeal but more importantly allows you to create as many folders and sub folders as you like. You can't do this on the current version of comic zeal. It also has better zoom control. I like to use the full width of the iPad when reading with a small amount of vertical scroll. This app has an automatic setting for using full width whereas I had to do it manually in Comic Zeal. You can also rename the comic files which is useful.  For the price it's a steal and much cheaper than the competition.

Don't think of this as a Japanese app - it is a fully featured English app as well. I've bought and used many comic apps but this one is def the best. It's as though they have taken all the best features from other apps and rolled it into this one. Def worth getting

I have scanned a number of old magazines into JPG files, and this app makes reading them a beautiful and painless experience. Just make one zip file per "issue", and the rest is smooth and easy. The app is not big on frills but is very flexible and lets you customise the various actions. (e.g. What would you like to happen when you tap the right hand side of the screen? Next page? Previous page? Something else entirely? The choice is yours.) The "bookshelf" view looks great and you can easily select any page or part of a page to serve as the "front cover", if the default (I.e. First) image is not suitable. 

Does the job completely - very pleased. An essential app.
