## Commutative Live Trains Description
Commutative tells you which platform your train will depart from, before other apps and hours before it appears on the station boards. This means you can be the first to board the train and have your choice of seats.

Unlike some other Real-time train apps, Commutative will never have ads or collect or share any of your data. This app respects your privacy, full stop.

Start a Live Activity to get real-time updates to your train's journey. We'll let you know if it's delayed, if the platform changes, or if it's cancelled. Commutative offers THE most real-time tracking out of any UK train app.

• See your train's platform hours before it departs (before other apps and before the boards in the station)
• Track your train on your Lock screen and Dynamic Island with a Live Activity
• See your train's inbound journey on its previous leg
• Pin your favourite journeys to the homepage to see instant results without even needing to search.
• Add a Widget to your Home Screen to see your commute at a glance
• Add a widget to StandBy Mode to see your journey while your iPhone's on a MagSafe charger
• See exactly where your train is - including the points in-between stations that other train apps don't show.

Commutative pulls data directly from the signalling system, while other train apps just search National Rail Enquiries. This means Commutative knows your platform earlier than any other app.

No platform yet? Don't want to look up at the boards? Just tap 'Track This Train' and go do something else. We'll add the train to your Dynamic Island so you can do something more productive while we keep an eye on the train for you. At the latest, this will be a few seconds BEFORE it appears on the departure boards in the station, but we usually know hours in advance.

Is your train delayed? You can see exactly where your train is en-route, see where it's been, and when it's due. This includes the points in-between passenger stations that aren't reported in other train apps. Starting your journey from a terminal station like Paddington, Euston, etc? You can also track your train as it makes its inbound journey on its previous leg.

Do you commute? Add your commute as a Widget and always see the next 5 trains at a glance. The Widget can be set to reverse at midday too, to show your journey back home.

Got an iPhone with the Dynamic Island? See your train’s predicted time and platform update live in the Dynamic Island while you multitask in other apps!

Only my first day of using the app, so more stars may be available. Would be good to see a display of which train(s?) are being tracked perhaps on the landing page. 
Also, on my iPhone 15 pro the live activity display seems to be too wide? Certainly wider than the native Timer app that I choose for comparison. The result is that when present, the time of day is hidden. To see the time I either have to lock the screen, or make the app full screen again. Looking forward to further updates :)

Major station Brighton (BTN) not available to pick. How many more missing from master list??

At least I can now see trains and the ability to see passing points is useful. 

At least one other app does show predicted platforms which change colour when confirmed. Predicted platforms have been available in NR data for years. 

Be interesting to see how things progress if app regularly updated. 

How about the option to see all departures from a station without having to pick a destination?  That would make App really useful. 

Details for ’Nerds’ useful, but why class everybody who is interested in this as Nerds. Just drop the Nerd part!  It’s stupid and could be insulting to some users.

21.12/24 Two years later I thought I’d give the app another try. 

App fails to find any local journeys from Lewes despite the fact direct trains show on other apps. Tried EUS-RUG as shown in App Store. Again a blank. Waterloo to Clapham Junction draws a blank too. 

Refund again requested. I’ll stick with Railchecker Pro which is far better and reliable.

Really enjoying the app and how it’s developing but wondered by I can’t get any station to station schedules for the Elizabeth Line. 

For me without this being fixed the app is less valuable but still excellent for other lines.

The design is great and I’d love a smart and simple train tracking app to help with my commute, but currently I cannot load the details page for any trains. When I choose a specific train I just get the loading view forever. I tried to submit via app support but the website doesn’t load either (too many redirects). A shame!

In theory, this is a fab idea. Unfortunately, it doesn’t work! I searched for a route from London Waterloo to Epsom (it was on the station boards), but this app could not find this route. Update: updated to 4 stars, based on the developer's prompt response; it indicates excellent customer service and builds trust and confidence that bugs are being addressed. If it’s fixed, this would be a five-star app! If there is a wish list, I know this isn’t a route planner and works for direct trains only but one final addition that might help us non-frequent commuters (if possible) is to have an ‘ALL London stations’ option. For example, Epsom is the destination which has direct routes from a couple of London stations (Waterloo and Victoria). It would be great if the app could show these various options which would inform us in selecting the most appropriate route based on station proximity, next train, fastest route etc. Thankyou!

Update 

Now five stars. My go-to app for UK train times. Developer has addressed all points from my previous review. Allows you to be one step ahead of crowds waiting by information boards, helping secure a seat before the platform gets busy.
