Did you know Queenslanders go through 2.7 billion drink containers each year? We’ve created a way to recycle those containers which means change for Queensland and your pocket. This app is a handy companion to help you cash in and recycle your eligible containers at Containers for Change refund points. It’s packed with features to make recycling through the scheme easier.
Check container eligibility
Use the barcode scanner to check whether a container is eligible for a 10 cent refund through the scheme. The app also has a quick reference guide on the types of containers that are eligible for a refund.
Track your refund history
Keep track of your recycling progress with updates on your returned containers, total refunds and transaction history. You can also check how Queensland is doing overall.
Access your scheme ID
Quickly access your scheme ID quickly and easily when you arrive at a container refund point. The barcode can be scanned at refund points with a scanner.
Save your favourite charity or community group
Donating your next refund? Search the list of registered charities and community groups and save their details to your scheme ID board.
Search for your nearest refund point
Search for your nearest refund point location and see what type of return options are available. You’ll find key information you need like address and opening hours, you can even get directions straight there.

Horrible app. So hard to use.

Not user friendly and even can’t send emails to retrieve passwords

Something Went Wrong; An unknown error occurred

It only showing an error message on startup. Nothing else. No buttons, no place to type anything, just the error message saying an unknown error occurred. Edit: ok was probably an outage, and it seems to working now. hope it was a one off

Much better app

So much easier to use when returning my containers. I like seeing how much I’ve returned and how much pocket money my kids have earned as a result!

Login fail

Can’t even click login button to submit credentials, hopeless, don’t bother

Can you guys fix those bugs?

Low performance on login. PayPal cannot be linked. These bugs have been reported months ago. Just fix it!!!

Can’t login

I’ve tried all the normal stuff, delete and reinstall, close and reopen, reboot phone and it just does nothing when the correct id and password is used. Works on the website, app fails. Seems pointless.

Faulty app

Unable to log in. Don’t get a failed log in message or anything, just won’t log in at all. Luckily they accept your mobile number when you try to deposit cans/bottles or the whole scheme would be a complete waste of time and effort🤷‍♀️

Not an incentive to use

Difficult to use - constantly prompting to log in and then doesn’t. Little or no communication about change to ways for people to make donations to community group

Solved: how to login

I wasn’t able to login like some users. This happens when your login details are filled automatically by your phone. The trick is to delete the last letter from your email address and type it back manually. You should be able to login after that.
