Cool Sudoku & Cool Puzzles

Enjoyable puzzles until they either……crash, leaving starter clues all over the place, literally, or duplications within a grid making both impossible to solve. Coupled with puzzles differing on different devices, there just seems to be faults that the developers are happy to ignore, adding to the level of difficulty. Luckily I have found a more reliable and consistently performing app, so no great loss

I cannot get today’s puzzle. I completed one yesterday bu am getting the same one again today. Also I have tried to reinstall it but it doesn’t work. I have been using this sudoku for some time so of course my I’d is being used.

How can I reset my password?

Used to love this app, but since the most recent update there are more issues. If you even so much as minimise the app to check the time then all your work so far is lost! Also last few days the just closes randomly losing everything done, and today it closes immediately after opening, so I guess thats it then!

I love activating the brain with this first thing in the morning, but what is the point in having a league table when you’ve decided to give the answers to the dummies who can’t fill out a Kakuro on their own?! ‘Possible answers’ should now read ‘actual answers’, and anybody who uses it should be eliminated from the league tables.

Generally it’s very good and well recommended. One major thing which has only just started to happen (why?). On iPhone, if you leave the page temporarily to, for instance deal with message received or screen blanks for time or, all you work is lost and you have to start all over. Especially when in middle of a ‘diabolical’. Minor thing: on iPhone (again) and playing killer, totalising numbers in top left corners can get obscured behind frame. Very occasionally not readable - even more interesting game then!

Suddenly after years of using this app my partial filled puzzles are wiped clean if I close my Ipad or go to another puzzle. Really annoying and spoils pleasure of using this app.

I love the puzzles but like many recent reviews have said it is spoilt by bugs and other issues. For me they are: Kakuro - starts with pencil options. You can get rid of them by clearing possibles in the options menu, but why are they there in the first place? All - if you exit or simply because my phone times outs, when you open back up all your progress is now lost. This never used to happen. Killer - on my iPhone the block totals down the left hand side are too close to edge and so are not easily read. 6 and 5, 8 and 3 are easily confused. I’m sorry to have to present as a low star review, but as far as I can tell there is no way of contacting the developer other than through the reviews.

Thanks for prompt upgrade to prevent crashing. Incredibly good, but the competitive element is not necessary. It would be good to retrieve previous puzzles were one to miss a day or two. Not sure why one has the table of possibles; too much useless information. There was a request for a tutorial; willing to do one for others, but to do it properly it will have to be on a separate document. The new upgrade has partially hidden the numbers on the left so it is difficult to distinguish between a ‘3’ and ‘8’, sometimes a ‘6’, on an iPhone. I am downgrading it because it wipes the input if you don’t save it as you go along (by the cumbersome method of ‘Exit’, followed by ‘Puzzle of the day’) if the phone switches off, or one goes to another app. So many times I have had to start from scratch.
