Note:
Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.
The Couch to 5K coach you select talks to you during your workouts. To save your battery, Couch to 5K sends audio notifications when your screen is locked or another app is in use.
To be sure you hear the coach during your workout, please do the following:
• Turn on Notifications permissions
• Turn on the hardware ring/silent switch (no red showing)
• Turn your ringer volume up
• Turn off Do Not Disturb (swipe up for Control Panel and the moon button should not be white)
• Within the app, in Settings > Workout Options, be sure the Trainer Volume is up
Without granting notification permissions, during a workout you can click the lock icon at the top left to keep the app active and still hear the coach.

On m’a conseillé cette app qui est vraiment super quand on veut se mettre à la course sans trop savoir comment s’y prendre. Le plus dur est effectivement de quitter son canapé la première fois mais après ça va tout seul et on devient vite accro. Je ne mets par contre que 4 étoiles parce qu’il manque des conseils pour les étirements.

Je n'aimais pas du tout courir et cette application m'a réconciliée avec la course. Tout est progressif. On ne souffre pas. Maintenant je suis en manque en attendant la prochaine course ! Support sur internet. Musique de son choix . Choix des voix pour le coaching et GPS. Existe en 10km et demi-marathon. Je recommande fortement cette app.

It works in terms of getting you to run 5k! But if you're listening to, for example, Spotify, you need to keep this app open at all times, otherwise you won't hear the instructions...

Pas sportive pour deux sous et en surpoids, la course à pied ne m'a jamais plu. Mais avec cette appli, ça devient facile : on y va tout doucement, on progresse petit à petit, c'est vraiment abordable à tous. Je cours 4-5 fois par semaine grace à l'appli, ce qui était encore inimaginable y'a un mois. Vraiment une application indispensable pour les squatteurs de canapé comme moi qui veulent se bouger un peu.

I used to be one of those lazy potatoes that would laugh and introduce themselves with a « I’m not very sporty, you know! », even though one part of me knew that my life would be much better with some exercise: for my mood, my heart, my breath, my weigh maintenance as I get older, my strength… For years I’ve had many attempts, but they all failed! Now I realize this is because I was going too hard at the beginning and lost my energy and motivation too quickly as a result… This app gave me a structure to follow and made me believe that my body was physically able to do it! I used to go red, out of breath and with chest pain after running for 5 minutes! Now I can easily run 20 minutes straight without 1 drop of sweat, I’ve already run as far as for 45 minutes and I believe I can even do more than that! All I’m saying is, if you’re bored of feeling like you’re going to die when going up the stairs, you know what you should do...
