The best app for traveling and meeting new people. It gave me opportunities to visit new countries. I don’t think I’d travel without cs

It added so much to my life. Highly recommend. Lots of interesting like minded people. Sometimes the app is buggy but nothing major.

Nowhere on the website talks about a 60 bucks fee! Yet they charge it without a refund. Straight fraud! The app crashes, there aren’t many hosts in popular areas. You have to be very lucky to find someone. Inbox gets spammed by unrelated people. Not worth all the hassle.

The app is fine, I've even made friends on my trips thanks to it. Unfortunately, I was careless and accidentally clicked the button to pay for lifetime subs when I registered. It cost me 60€, when I asked for a refund saying it was a mistake, they wrote that they can't give me a refund, be careful.

It conected me to Belgrade guys when i was at košice lol fix. I went to center to meet them after that we realized that we are like 500km from each other. Apart from that always happy

Pandemic unfortunately changed a lot and also CS. It was great, now there is not many people, lot of inactive and it would need restart. But the worst is that guys use this excellent platform as dating app. Be aware, they put preferred gender “female” and have only female recommendations. Also dangerous for solo female travellers. Maybe CS could do something about it? I hope the good days are still ahead…

Couchsurfing was good app. Its still good way to meet new people but you have to be very careful of your money. There is something what they call VERIFICATION by you card. But in real they steal money from your account. I say steal, because there is no imformation about paymant, just “verification”. So its regular theft. Im so disapointed of evolution of this app. If you want money back, contact you bank. I was successful! ;) Dont waste time with contact CF support. They made bussines on this “verification”.

You destroyed the couchsurfing community with your greediness. I used to be a verified user, paid 50 euros and you still forced me to pay subscription. Now the app is so broken, I can’t even pay a subscription to check my old messages and friends. It’s a shame, you intentionally destroyed the community and are refusing to change your policy, trying to squeeze every last penny out of it. You don’t even need that much money to maintain this kind of app.. just trying to stuff your pockets with money. Now you lost most of the activity on the platform, it’s dead.

I am a member since 2015. I used it a lot and I use to love it! The original-real-CS-spirit, which excludes money 100%. It was build by volunteers and now it is just another company which is focusing mainly on profit, rather than on humanity, good, positive, helpful atmosphere. The sadest part of it is: the volunteers who build it up back then, are now mostly blocked and gone - since they weren’t allowed to say their opinions. Also lots of my CS-friends, with many reviews and experience have left. Use to be an amazing place…

After downloading the app, I paid the monthly subscription as per their COVID 19 regulations. The subscription is confirmed by my bank as well as Apple Pay but I still cannot use the app norme access the website. Rather disappointed!
