## crabhands Description
Let us track your favourite artists and send you notification alerts when they release new music on Spotify, or when we discover any upcoming releases for them!

To set up a new account, just hit the Sign Up button, follow the instructions and then login to your Spotify account. We will scan for the artists that you follow. A list of the latest new releases will then be available in the app. If we find any upcoming releases for them we will also display these in the app.

If you've enabled push notifications then we'll notify you when we find new and upcoming releases for your artists.

New music releases are by default added to a playlist which we create within your Spotify account so that you have one easy place to listen to new music. You can change this option at any time from the Settings screen.

We sync the artists you follow on Spotify before we check for new releases, so if you have followed new artists then they'll get included when we scan for new releases.

Please note: you cannot listen to the releases within the app - you do this within Spotify as usual.

## crabhands Reviews in United States

### ***-- "Great app wirh new drawbacks"
This is a paid app now, which is fine, it's by far the best for what I need it to do, but for some reason since the newest update, literally every time I open the app I have to re-login with my spotify, which requires me to get a code from my email.... it's just a big waste of time. I put up with it because the app still works, but it's a big annoyance every time I want to use it. I'm on an iphone 12.
-- Gigglefork Wafflepants, 2026-02-05

### ***-- "Why I can’t pay inside the app?"
I don’t have credit card but I can pay with my Apple ID 🙁 please add this option
-- Wicked Witch MM, 2025-12-11

### ***** "A necessity for me"
Amazing app for staying on top of new releases of artists I follow on Spotify. And an extra bonus the customer support is fast and very efficient!
-- edneidorf, 2025-11-24

### ***-- "Incessant Sign ins"
Never had the issue with logging in every single time I open the app until the app was revamped. If that gets fixed, I’ll revise my review.
-- C.Hartman, 2025-02-19

### ***** "A truly incredible and worthwhile app for new music discovery!"
This used to be a free app, but understandably the developer needed to make it paid to continue this service. It's worth every penny and quite affordable, too! Easily track new music from your favorite artists on Spotify, add new music automatically to custom playlists, and more. If you use Spotify and enjoy tracking new songs, you absolutely should invest in Crabhands!
-- MikeK-1, 2024-12-30

### ****- "Mannn I used to loveee this app"
If I could only use 5 apps for the rest of my life, this would’ve be one of them. Until, they went from free to charging money for the app. Disappointing. I get business is business and as much as I love this app, it’s not worth adding to my already long list of subscriptions, most of which are actually necessary. Now I have to find a free alternative
-- lillola4378, 2024-10-31

### *---- "Subscriptions"
Gotta love another app I have to delete because they decided to change & go a subscription model.
-- jefflllll85555, 2024-10-25

### ***** "Best"
Best app of its kind. Please update though! Been over 2 years.

Update - app update is fantastic, happy to pay 20 bucks to subscribe. Thanks Dave!
-- R_Loz, 2024-10-23

### *---- "Login is Broken"
After 20 minutes of trying, I officially give up trying to login to this app. Period I’ve used this for years and this new update is awful.
-- Simplechords, 2024-10-17

### *---- "No longer free"
I have had this app installed on my device for many years it’s helpful for picking up releases that spotify fails to alert me to. It’s always been pretty useful and great. Enough so that I would happily have donated a few bucks to the creator of the app. While helpful, it’s not $24/yr useful. Bummer. Uninstalled.
