App crashes and loses connection to Ferret

bob-4z on

Connections are correct per the manual. Ferret is the WiFi connection. The Creality led is blue and the green leds on the rechargeable handle are green. I open the app manual and page through the initial pages, setting up the scan parameters. I open home page. The scan library is empty. When I touch SCAN the app crashes. Using an Apple iPad with the latest SW upgrade.

It will not connect to my iPhone at all. No matter how many times I try it.

Wi-Fi will not connect to iPhone 13 Pro Max

The app refuses to acknowledge the ferret Wi-Fi connection. I connect to its ad hoc Wi-Fi via the iPhones Wi-Fi. However, the app never recognizes the connection and thus I cannot use the scanner with my phone, which is what I bought it for. It amazes me how many companies build seemingly decent hardware and then face plant on the software and render all work useless. Meanwhile, when is someone in the DIY space going to implement AI in the scan process so it stops losing track so easy?

Promptly uninstalled.

Doesn't track well at all thru an iphone. Eveb if you are staying still, it will make this long worm thing that keeps extending on and on. And im scanning a dirty small carboard box, nothing shinny or plain.

App crashes and looses connection to scanner

Every time I want to use this app with an Scan Ferret PRO it doesn’t detect it, says it’s not connected even though it’s connected by the Creality wifi bridge that came with. You have to restart the app, the WiFi and or the WiFi bridge and after 8 tries it works for a moment, sometimes it connects and the it drops connection during scan process. Also during scan the green model disappears and you can’t continue to scan. I have tried different settings and still the same. Very buggy app to the point to be unusable :( using iPhone 14 Pro
