Standard and challenging modes are fair enough, but the brutal mode is so stacked against you as the player it’s impossible to enjoy. Computer is regularly getting cuts that double an already well above average hand. E.G. 7789 & 8 is cut, or 4566 and a 4 is cut. This results in the computer having a couple 20 point hands per game. Meanwhile you maybe get one 20+ point hand every 3rd game. I’m not an all star cribbage player, but according the in game hand ranking, I’m consistently above 95% on “best” card choice. So it can’t all be attributed to my choices. Also computer will win the fist cut 80% of the time regardless of mode.
So many cribbage apps tend to hold your hand with auto scoring, but not this one! There’s no casual play in this dojo. Be ready to manually count and truly earn every point (except for ‘his heels’ and ‘Go’). Attempts to over-score are rightly punished as well, so be sharp and mindful while you play. The in-depth stats and post game analysis are a huge bonus, as is the online play and daily scrimmage challenge. The graphical design isn’t the absolute prettiest, but it’s still among the best. The interface is top notch, considering the demanding gameplay, and could have easily been botched. Hats off to the devs, I gladly paid for the full access version. *chefs’ kiss* Update: The only features that I think is missing is to have a three and four player option. And what if the AI tries to over-count its own points? That might make some interesting play.
I really hate to throw out the “rigged” accusation, but something seems to have changed in the game. I’ve played this game almost every night for at least the past year on the Brutal setting. I play one game and win about 60 percent of the time. But for the past month, I almost never win. I think I’ve lost the past 6-7 nights a row. That hardly seems like a coincidence. Then there is this: the few times I decide to play a second game, I always win. It’s like magic and all of the sudden I get amazing hands. Just last game, I got a several 12-point hands, a 14, 16, and a 20 to win. Again, this doesn’t seem like coincidence.
My wife and I play almost everyday, keeping a yearly total for our own annual tournament winner! I like to play in the tournament mode as well. Like the constant updates and improvements as well. Thank you!
Love the first game I played then an ad popped up. It stays on the screen and doesn’t go away. No X to click. Hard to continue playing if I’m locked into an ad.
When you crave cribbage but can’t find a partner, this Ap is great!
It’s a great game but it has some system bugs that need to be fixed. Like disconnecting even if Wi-Fi is good, it does this a lot.
Not a take your money and you’re done with them. They are constantly updating it with new designs and features. I only gave it four stars because sometimes I wonder if I’m playing intermediate or advanced, if it might be cheating. It comes up with some cards that I’ve rarely seen playing with my friends live. Or it could just be me.
If your looking for an awesome app for cribbage, this is it!!
