Cronometer Reviews

Doesn’t save entries

Joselyn :p on

United States

I wanted to revisit the app after not using it for a few months and see my earlier entries from this summer, it’s December now, but all of it was erased. It kept my personal info that I typed in when using the app (like my height, age, weight, calories, etc) so I know that I entered the right email and I had a screenshot of my email and password when I first made my account, but didn’t save my foods and earlier entries. I also didn’t delete the app (until now ofc) so that’s not the reason either. Really frustrating because I really used to find this app helpful, but if it doesn’t let you look at your old entries to see what worked/didn’t work what is the point?

Great app. Would love to eventually have a feature where you can take a picture of your food to help estimate the amount of food you are eating.

This is app is amazing! I see lots of negative reviews, but in my opinion, this is a game changer regarding holding myself accountable. It syncs easily with my fitness tracker to include sleep and exercise. Very easy to add meals, vitamins, and any other food or beverage. Best of all… this is the free version!

Biologist

My nutritionist told me to use Cronometer because I lost so much weight and they want me to put weight back on. My use of Cronometer has impressed my visiting nurse and my visiting dietitian because of how flexible it is and how much information you can control with Cronometer. Two young gentleman that work at a supplement and powder protein store are also personal trainers, were very impressed because you can also track your alcohol consumption and water intake with Cronometer, that’s just in the basic free software. I am a biologist by trade, I know to gain weight you have to eat more calories than you’re burning. To lose weight you have to burn more calories than you’re eating. Cronometer is a very easy way to track your calorie intake. You can enter the name of foods or if it’s a packaged product you can scan its barcode and most of the products you buy are already in the program. I am going to purchase Cronometer Gold which gives you more than the free program.

Terrific Tool

The Biggest Reason to Why I Won my First Bodybuilding Competition

Jasokle on

United States

For my 50th birthday present to myself, I decided to enter my first bodybuilding competition. I’ve been working out my entire life and felt I had nailed the eating part, but I wanted to look good on stage, so a friend told me I needed an app. I looked at MFP and Cronometer. This one was easier so after a week, I just removed MFP. The value I got was so great that I updated to the paid version. And I’ve been telling everyone who listens: “if you want to look your best, whether or not you get on a stage, you need two things: a food scale and the Cronometer app.” In 40 weeks, I lost 31 lbs, and in July 2024, I won my first bodybuilding show, medaling in 3 of four lineups. Six weeks later, I came in second in 35+ and 3rd in overall. This is the app you need!
