## Crow Description
Some days you want to type. Some days you want to write it out by hand with a pen. Crow lets you do both — in the same entry, in whatever order the day comes out.

Write a paragraph. Sketch under it. Keep writing. Add the photo you took at lunch, the song that was on, and where you were standing. Then get on with your evening.

Crow reads your handwriting too, entirely on your iPhone or iPad, so searching finds the words you wrote with a pen — not just the ones you typed. Nothing is uploaded at all: your journal lives on your device and in your own private iCloud account, and there are no accounts and no ads.

WRITING
• Type and handwrite in the same entry, in any order
• Apple Pencil or finger, on paper you choose
• 500+ writing prompts, offline, one picked fresh each day
• Templates for the days when a blank page is the problem
• Entries save themselves as you write — a dead battery can't cost you an evening

YOUR DAY, ALREADY THERE
• Photos, places, songs, workouts and people from your day, added in a tap
• Share a link, an article or a picture into Crow from any app
• Automatic location, or pick the place yourself

LOOKING BACK
• Mood through the year, words written, and a calendar of every day you wrote
• A map of everywhere you've written from
• Entries brought back from a year ago, and from the ones you'd forgotten
• Goals, if you like that sort of thing, with a quiet nudge when you're keeping one

IT'S YOUR JOURNAL, SO YOU CAN TAKE IT
• Export a PDF laid out for reading and printing, handwriting and photos in place
• Markdown for other apps, or a complete backup Crow can restore
• Import from other apps, Markdown or plain text — free, and always will be
• Or scan a paper notebook and let Crow read the pages

KEPT PRIVATE
• Lock it with Face ID
• Blur previews so the timeline isn't readable over anyone's shoulder
• Delete everything, properly, whenever you like

## Crow Reviews in United States

### ***** "Dummy Me didn’t pay attention to the bottom of the Posting area,"
I would have seen where I could Add Phots, Great Job Guys
-- Fordatar, 2025-03-11

### ****- "Enter/Return Key"
I absolutely love the app! The only reason I'm not giving it a 5-star rating is that when I type on a physical keyboard and press enter/return, the entry ends unexpectedly. There's no option to change this setting, which I hope gets addressed in the next update. I really appreciate the promts as they challenge my thinking, and I value the app's strong emphasis on privacy. Thank you for your hard work—keep it up! PS. I’m wondering if this is just an issue with the Logitec slim folio for the iPad.
-- Redwood055, 2025-03-10

### **--- "Page Display is a mess"
Pretty good idea, but buggy. I am missing about 10% of the text on the left page. Very strange .
-- ICanHazDubbleCheezburger, 2025-03-02

### ***** "I have been searching for this app forever!"
I have been searching for a good journal app for a couple of years, they have all fallen short for one reason or another. To say I was skeptical that this would finally be the right app would be an understatement, however I can say that I was completely incorrect. This app has every feature I have been looking for AND it has diagnostics so you can analyze your mood over time. I’m in love!
-- Sdragon144, 2025-01-21

### ***** "Best journal app"
I love this app. It makes it so easy to use and allows me to take time daily to record my thoughts. Without a doubt, the best app on the market. Do not hesitate to download this app.
-- c_C2020, 2025-01-05

### ***** "Wow!! I love it!!"
I’ve been looking for an easy to use, inexpensive app for my journaling and this one hits the mark across the board. Easy to use, intuitive, and searchable. Love that I can attach pictures and a map pin to complement my thoughts. This is a must have for anyone who likes to journal.
-- slappy2222, 2024-12-31

### ***** "Best journaling app out there"
Crow is hands-down the best journaling app I’ve tried. The simplicity and clean UI make it incredibly easy to focus on what matters: my thoughts and memories. I love that I can add photos, my location, and text.

The prompts are a fantastic touch, giving me inspiration on days when I don’t know where to start. But what truly sets Crow apart is its support for physical handwriting on my iPad—it feels so natural! Plus, the seamless syncing between my iPad and phone means I can journal wherever I am without any hassle.

If you’re looking for a daily journal app that combines ease of use with thoughtful features, Crow is it. Highly recommend!
