Hi, The main reason why I don’t use your product is because the undo button is not visible on the keyboard ”view”. Every time you record something with the on screen keyboard and the take isn’t good enough you have to close the keyboard to get back to the track view to undo the take. That really kills the flow. I hope you can add the undo-button to the keybord”view” so you can just remove the bad take with one press of a finger. Maybe you could add a small strip of custom buttons to the keyboard view while your at it so everyone could choose few commands they feel they need while recording (like quantize would bee nice so you could instantly try if the take you did would work with a little bit of quantizing?). Otherwise I really like your product but that undo-thing really is a dealbreaker for me. One more thing that would be great would be a upgrade to the keyboard so it would support (the ancient) 3d touch and maybe MPE style controls. I have been holding on to an iPhone Xs Max 512 for all these yaers just because of the 3d touch really turns iPhone in to an instrument with the right apps/instruments.

No tempo track or any other way whatsoever to change tempo mid song? Similarly, no way to change time signature? You can not be serious. Obviously, there is music with no use for tempo changes other than half-time and double-time, but most people looking to utilise this app at all ”seriously” should find this tragic omission severely crippling. Shifting time signature is admittedly a tad more novel compositional element, but still quite necessary to many songwriters. I am hardly a dev, but I, for one, find it fairly challenging to imagine as to how could it be so tricky an implementation that it has been left out? Possibly a dev could answer? I suppose one could create separate songs for different tempos and/or time signatures and then bounce and downmix back and forth like a rabid clown, but that should prove woefully tedious. Please tell me I am just missing something. This effectively renders the app to a mere sketchpad to put down ideas, riffs, ostinatos, simple passages and whathaveyou. Accelerando? Ritardando? No. I feel devastated to leave such an unforgiving rating, although I must give an additional star for true potential, however missed. Additionally, always a delight to see a design sans the vexing eyesore of skeuomorphism (can’t everybody just abandon it already). Undo history disappears entirely from time to time making experimental changes rather perilous. Disappointed. PS. Devs, can you please let us know if tempo track is going to be implemented in any foreseeable future?

Keeps using the microphone even if you kill the app. Only way to to solve is to restart iPad. German intelligence spyware?

it’s missing aux sends and eq’s on mixer view. Also signal routing possibilities are poor : It would be nice to get a channel(s) for aux return(s) for example.

It’s possible to select an instrument for a track that you don’t own yet. After this the app forces you to its own store if you want to change it to another instrument, essentially making the track unusable and destroying your work.

I love how I can sketch an idea on my phone or iPad and easily transfer my idea to my home computer and fully develop it on Cubase.

With the latest update this is a complete full fledged DAW and you can BUY it for the price that some others charge to rent for a month! Record and edit audio Record and edit MIDI Mix and add effects Master! It comes with a plethora of instruments and you can get more (really low prices) in the in app shop They update it consistently Easy to use and there are ton of tutorials online I don’t need a computer to record anymore! I can a carry a recording studio with me!

With Cubasis 3.7 iOS, iPhone, and iPad have the best DAW there is. Sound wise it has everything you could ask for, from instruments to drums to synths with HALion, Neo FM, FM Classics, and now Iconica Sketch. Time signature and tempo tracks have made this on par with Logic. The user interface is the best in the business, the UI is beautiful, and the UX is seamless. With the upcoming updates, I hope to see Groove Agent and PDC (plugin delay compensation), but as it stands, Cubasis is now the king of iOS DAWs. Keep it up Steinberg, you have a dedicated customer for life.
