all my Money is in it i believe this a new method they use in scamming they let you deposit and then lock you out of the account no one replies email even the specialist on call will say they have nothing to do, then why the calling support if you can’t give a reasonable answer to you locking account with my hard earn money I also requested for prove of payment still yet it can’t be provided currency fair are scammers
What a terrible app. I transferred $150 to my self. They blocked it for AML but didn’t notify in the app (only by email which went to spam). This snowballed into my credit card payment failing. Resulting in $45 fee from my bank for a failed transaction, and a $30 late fee from my CC. What a joke.
I am a long-standing CurrencyFair customer - I’ve been using the service monthly for years. But a recent app update has made the app almost completely unusable and I am now looking for an alternative service. First, the app update has resulted in a massive complication of the user experience, making it extremely difficult to figure out how to perform basic transactions. Second, when I have recently been attempting to make an exchange, the app has repeatedly changed the transaction amounts for no reason and without my consent. For example, replacing amount of the currency I want to exchange from with the amount of the currency I want to exchange to, and then refusing to allow me to correct this. These are basic and unacceptable failings. CurrencyFair has shipped an app update without testing it properly and has failed to fix those failings. Anyone wanting a reliable money transfer service should avoid CurrencyFair until these problems are fixed.
A couple of months ago Something has changed on how transactions are set up. I find myself going around in circles on the app. And having several transactions pending before I get to the part where I select what account I want to send the money to. I’ve been using the app for years and it was always so simple, but now it can take ages to figure out how to complete a transaction

I have no problem using online banking apps. I have a few in fact. But this app is overly complicated and wasted my time and money. I wanted to send £150 to America. Was given a dollar currency value after inputting the account I wanted to send it to and was told to transfer in the £150, which I did. It clearly says in the email I was sent, that when funds are received and processed they will be converted and sent to the US account. After multiple days of money not arriving in US account I found out that my money was just sat in my currencyfair account, still in GBP, not converted to dollars!? I was charged £2.50 to pay the money in and £2.50 to get it back again. Absolutely ridiculous.
I downloaded it recently and want to send money but the options/ active links don’t work. The active links for rate alerts also not active anywhere. FAQs are not easy . Again active links problems. Indian currency not available???? Hope they fix the problem soon. YouTube video explains but I couldn’t see those options. Looks good but needs improvement.
I’ve used several currency transfer devices over the years but Currency Fair was an appalling experience. Had to jump through hoops and provide all kinds of documentation before I could make any transfers. And a recent transaction was not paid on to the recipient despite Currency Fair happily taking funds from me - they demanded (rather rudely) to see my bank statements. I refused and attempted to contact their customer service dept but all requests were ignored by their support team. I’m sure it’s all legitimate but everything about dealing with Currency Fair feels like an elaborate scam. I’d say AVOID even if you have to pay higher transfer fees elsewhere !!!
