## Current Reader Description
Current is an RSS reader built on a simple idea: your feed should never make you feel behind.

There are no unread counts. No red badges. No number climbing while you sleep, silently tallying everything you haven't read. Current shows you what's new right now, and that's it. Nothing is owed. Nothing is overdue. You open it when you want to read, and whatever's there is what's there.

The design is intentional. Every screen, every interaction, every animation was built to feel calm and unhurried. Articles are presented beautifully with clean typography and generous whitespace. … despite the rather lengthy explanation of the thought process behind it (which intrigued me enough to spend some money on it). I quite simply can’t find any reason why this is supposed to work better than any other RSS reader out there. If you’re really stressed by the count of your unread articles: Just switch that off.

### **--- "Eher eine Beta Version und viel Potenzial"
Ich muss sagen, ich bin echt begeistert von dem Ansatz dieses Readers! Er hebt sich angenehm von den überladenen anderen ab, und das Design gefällt mir auch super.  Man merkt, dass die Entwickler viel Herzblut ins Design gesteckt haben und eine neue Philosophie umsetzen wollten. Das ist wirklich lobenswert, auch wenn die Funktionalität dadurch noch etwas Luft nach oben hat.  Ich würde es als eine Beta-Version bezeichnen, die aber noch viel Potenzial hat.

Die Synchronisierung zwischen den Geräten könnte noch verbessert werden. 
Zum Beispiel werden die Einstellungen eines RSS-Feeds nicht plattformübergreifend übernommen. 
Außerdem werden bei vielen Artikeln keine Inhalte angezeigt, da die Datenschutzmeldung abgefragt wird. Das kenne ich von anderen Readern so nicht.  
Es wäre auch toll, wenn alle Feeds gleichzeitig aktualisiert werden könnten, anstatt nur einer nach dem anderen. 
Und die Release-Funktion könnte auch etwas zuverlässiger sein.

Insgesamt bin ich aber positiv überrascht und sehe großes Potenzial in diesem Reader. Ich bin gespannt, wie sich die Entwickler weiterentwickeln und freue mich darauf, die Verbesserungen zu sehen!

### ***-- "Innovative and well designed, but incomplete and buggy"
I’ve been using RSS readers since they are a things, and I’m always interested in new approaches. Current Reader sounds promising but it’s not quite there yet. The import from NNW didn’t work on the iPhone, the keyboard shortcuts and actions are not very accessible (can’t marking the entire current view as read) there are inconsistencies between a selected Voice view and other views. 
I will keep trying but for now it’s not a replacement for the OG NNW.
