So awful
This was a one star app two years ago and somehow they managed to make it worse.
Now you can’t even delete incorrect calendar settings so the units come on at random times in the middle of the night but there’s no way to change the schedule.
Can't rename any of your units with user friendly names so you're stuck guessing which of the 4 random alphanumeric names is which unit. Physical remote and app don't sync and there's no clear indication of how they interact when you've set a schedule I'm the app. Interface for automation in the app is so poorly designed it is unusable. An app this bad by a company like Daikin is an embarrassment. Does no one test these apps for usability before they release them? It boggles the mind.
Junk. Worked for a while now won’t work
Don’t waste your time with the wifi add on. Daikin installers don’t know how to fix it waste of everyone’s time trying to get them to fix it.
Don’t upgrade your aircon to 2.8.0
This will break the local api and you will not be able to use your aircon with homebridge and HomeKit
Functional and does 95% of your needs
I’m happy with this app. It makes setting up schedules easy. And every day use is easy but a bit slower than using the remote.
Love having control of my units outside the home. Eg. Turn on the units on the way home from shopping. Turn them off if I forget.
I miss being able to set “powerful” mode
Awful
Just awful
Another update, another problem.
I have a relatively new Daikin Zena aircon split multi system.
After the last update the app gives me the option to set the temperature between -5 degrees and 5 degrees Celsius.
Great work there team Daikin.
Also, when you delete the app and reinstall it (as I thought this may fix the issue) you lose everything. Had to re-create ID. Re-Connect all units.
Fortunately, all the scheduling at least stays in the system.
Anyway, sort yourselves out Daikin or roll the app backwards so we can actually use it again.
horrible app and software
I can’t even get the Aircon connected to my phone, even though I’m connected to the daycare network. The app has very poor use ability. Nowadays connection to any device should be simple and straightforward. This is last century.
Wow, just terrible
I’ll be sticking with my Sensibo network controllers as the Daikin app is incredibly primitive compared to them.
Useless. A complete fail for such a long time. You should be ashamed of yourselves!
The app loses connection with units EVERY time there is a change to IOS. After that, it takes so long to get the units connected again that it is most likely users will give up, like I have.
As an former app developer, I would hang my head in shame if this was my work. If I was Daikin, I’d get it fixed!
Embarrassing app - don’t buy a Daikin AC UNIT
Insanely laggy, doesn’t remember settings, poor connectivity. Will never buy another Daikin.
How hard could it possibly be for an electronics company to get an app right?
