## Daily Canon Description
One great work of literature, every day, chosen for the day it arrives.

Not a reading list you will never finish, and not a feed. One novel, poem, play or essay each morning, with a short piece written to make you want to read it, and the whole book waiting behind it if it takes. Some days it will not be for you. That is the point: keep your line in the water and one of them bites, and you have found a book you will press on everyone you meet.

Hamlet on Shakespeare's birthday. Ulysses on Bloomsday. Dracula through October. Wuthering Heights on Valentine's Day, because love should always be a little unhinged. Thousands of works, four thousand years of writing, reaching well past the Western shelf to Diwali, Nowruz, Vesak and the lunar new year.

TODAY'S WORK
The day's work on a background painted by hand for that book alone: a blurb that sets the scene without spoiling it, a line worth keeping, and the gist in plain words for when the blurb leaves you guessing.

THE LIBRARY
Complete books, properly typeset and read inside the app, with more shelved every week: real page turns, hold a word for the dictionary, your place kept to the word. Download any and read with no signal at all. Many carry their original language beside the translation, switchable mid-chapter: Anna Karenina in Russian, Dante in Italian, the Odyssey in Greek.

AMBIENCE

I’m a somewhat new Classic Literature reader and am absolutely loving this app! 

The mix between reminiscing on quotes from novels that I’ve read, and then learning more about ones that I’ve maybe heard but not looked into, is very exciting and engaging. 

Two examples of the use of this app is by my discovering of Invisible Cities by Italo Calvino, through the quote and blurb of the day. Also, my reintroduction to 100 Years of Solitude by Gabriel Garcia Marquez. Both of these are works that I plan on diving into after seeing them on the app. 

Another interesting piece is the suggested readings and badges you can develop which will help you navigate to other works that you may not have heard of. 

I recommend this app to anyone who is new or old in the classic literature space!

This app is very diligently thought out. It brings an organized way of reading every day. I have a tendency, as a Classic Literature lover, to feel overwhelmed with all of the literary works I have yet to read; this app is a well thought out app. 

This app is still within its beginning stages but as Lao Tzu says it best,
“The journey of a thousand miles begins with one step.”
I believe this app is a great example of this quote. It is already an incredible well made app and it can only go up from here.

I can’t wait to see what else is to come with this app!
