The new app is absolutely hopeless, can’t navigate it properly. The saying if it isn’t broken don’t fix it applies so I beg to ask why they renewed the app. Also you don’t get a fair reflection on readers comments as anything more than non complimentary is disabled.
Why does this app constantly remind you, upon startup, that there is an update? The AppStore already does that, so what is the need for a redundant and time wasting dialog..? Pathetic coding by immature and inexperienced developers. Do they even have a UI/UX expert on the payroll? Is there a test department? I think that we all know the answers to those last two questions. Sad attempt - amazing failure! The final straw comes when it crashes and dies after a couple of swipes. Just save yourself the bother and delete this app from your phone. You won’t look back!
The app is awkward to use and there are far too many articles about Meagain and Hapless with the occasional article about some dumbed down TV program. Actual news is missing.
App isn’t bad for access but it takes forever to load, scrolling is so slow you think you’ve not actually scrolled. Giving up on it and deleting app. Life is too short .!
The old set up and layout 5 years ago was much superior to all these current versions. They just don’t work . The old layout was similar to mail and it was easy to see all the stories featured . The new app is just too much trouble and not enjoyable to use.,
This app is continually freezing and crashing!
Far superior in quality news stories and layout to its rival the Daily Mail which is now obsessed with only certain celebs and cannot be honest with the facts. If you want quality, the Express is a refreshing read.
Title fully describes this awful app
I’m a paid up member and have updated the app but my comments keep being rejected as ‘failed to post app’. There are no bad words or aggressive comments but for some reason I’m not allowed an opinion - if it continues I’ll move to another publisher.
I have downloaded and subsequently deleted this app so many times now, I have lost count on how many times simply because it does not work properly. Invariably I will read an article but then get stuck as the app prevents you getting back to the Home Screen. I have submitted comments many of which have not been published with messages such as Message Failed or Content Disabled displayed for no apparent reason. I have therefore given up on it and will not download it again.
