Imagine my surprise when I opened my first smoothie of my most recent shipment: there was noticeably less food in the container. There was no notice that this would be happening. I would like an explanation. Tariffs? More expensive labor? This is not how you treat loyal customers.

I’ve been a loyal customer of Daily Harvest, but my recent experience has been incredibly frustrating and disappointing.
Even after skipping every available box, I was surprised with an auto-renewal and charge for my last order without any clear alert that it would process again. The platform’s process is confusing and not user-friendly. There's no simple way to fully pause or opt out of auto-renewals, and the cutoff deadlines aren’t well-communicated.
To make matters worse, customer service is lunhelpful. The response I received essentially blamed me for not skipping fast enough, despite having skipped every visible option. There’s no accountability or flexibility in resolving the issue.
Daily Harvest needs to improve both its customer experience and subscription management system. As it stands, the service feels more like a trap than a convenience. I won’t be returning as a customer.

I ordered 15 items and received those and the next day another two huge boxes came. I have not been able to get the issue resolved. I was charged double what I had ordered.

### *---- "App is a usability nightmare"
It’s pretty clear there are no good UX Designers or Researchers at Daily Harvest. This app is terrible. It’s in desperate need of usability testing. Simple tasks like changing your order, knowing when a box is coming, understanding what is coming in each shipment, etc. are all very confusing. Not excusable to have a digital experience like this in 2025. Do some user research and figure it out.

The food is simply awful. Nothing is tasty aside from the smoothies. DH definitely capitalizes on using cheap ingredients and targeted marketing to sell bland, tasteless food. Highly don’t recommend.

Been trying for days to log in to make sure my delivery was skipped for this week.  Get nothing but a spinning icon.  I am not going to be on the hook for continuous delivery if I can’t control the when I want it.  Absolute garbage app.   If I can’t get a hold of a customer service rep to cancel then I’ll just stop payment and mail them back a box of rotten fruit slag.   I used to like this service but the app is useless.

I’ve been a customer for about seven years, and until October 2023, I loved DH. I would have given them 10 stars. However, UPS changed their distribution system in my area, and an extra day has been added to my delivery. My box of food either sits in a warehouse or on a truck for an extra night, so it is almost always partially thawed and has to be thrown away. Despite being assured through several emails and phone calls that my delivery would include extra dry ice, that never seems to happen. I’ve asked DH to consider using FedEx, which would guarantee overnight shipping. They won’t. I’m very disappointed by this change in logistics with UPS, but I can no longer accept the massive amount of food waste that seems to be inevitable until DH changes carriers. I used to send boxes to my friends and recommended DH to many others. I will not now.

The primary thing you need a native app for is to manage your account, check orders and pause deliveries when you’re traveling. Other than viewing an order that already arrived, I can’t do any basic acct mgmt. It also appears you just took the DH website and jammed it in to an iOS app w iframes. Recommend hiring a new app developer!

This app used to be surprisingly user friendly and responsive. Now it feels very clunky and sometime broken? Like beginner web design project for a e-commerce website.

Please tell the product owners to go back to the native app. I’m sure it’s better on the back end for you guys, but this is horrible for the end user.
