Freeze freeze freeze!
I would love to be able to read the articles I’m interested in but without fail I get part way down an article and it freezes, every time, without fail, I’ve deleted and reinstalled but to no avail. It will stay frozen so long that I have to do a forced shutdown of my newish iPad to get rid of the frozen daily mail screen. Very frustrating.
No one is bothered
No one is bothered it’s been going on for years dropping out etc.
Crash crash crash
That’s all this app seems to do now, multiple times when I am swiping between stories. A very poor experience
Bug
I can only read about 5 articles and then it freezes and I have to close and re open again
Unsurprisingly average
Slow, crashes occasionally. Biggest problem is when the articles are being updated as it refreshes the screen while you are scrolling through the items causing you to lose your place. Advertising is insidious and distracting. I know it’s by design that add often pop under you fingers as you scroll forcing you to another site. Sometimes it’s impossible to read the article due to distracting ads. Would be nice to have a category for just news and not celebrity news. At the moment there seems to be no distinction regardless of which you pick it’s just jumbled up in a mess. Spell checking the articles may also prove useful.
The keyboard not disappearing after typing comments
I am a mobile developer and the keyboard done button not handled correctly . The done button not getting dismissed after typing comments and the post button is not visible because of that. Most of the time I am unable to post anything after typing. The keyboard is only getting dismissed after changing the focus by touching outside the edit box which I finally figured out. It is terrible and annoying and not even basic testing is performed on this section
Unusable
Now it’s either an old typewriter sound during each article or a loud music. Unable to read at all with EVERY page making some kind of annoying noise, but the typewriter is the worst. I thought it was some out of control ad, but I clicked them all off, yet the typewriter sound or music remained. I guess it’s uninstall from me.
Unstable
Constantly rolls back to the top screen when you have scrolled down several screens. Extremely frustrating bug they seem incapable of fixing for some time
Text won’t load
Never had any major issues until recently. I’ve reloaded the app several times, giving up. Loads articles and pictures but not text so not exactly helpful for reading…
