Ignores “do not track”, not functional & obscenely expensive

hizzzle33 on

Firstly, this app is obscenely expensive. £45 per year for basic functionality is an absolute disgrace. Secondly, the app ignores apples “ask app not to track” request, so that’s a big red flag. I clicked do not track and can see problematic requests in my DNS log, so based on this alone you should avoid because they’re clearly don’t give a hoot about your privacy despite a nice disclaimer in the app start up saying they will never monetise your data, which might be true, but they’re still collecting it and who knows what they’ll do in the future. We won’t sell your data so give us a ridiculous amount via a subscription instead? Very shady. On top of that, half of the features don’t behave in a way that is intuitive to an actual human being, the app behaviour and overall way you interact with things is really illogical, having to open or close things in a certain order instead of being flexible or just acting in a normal way and the sync function doesn’t work either so that’s completely pointless. The app isn’t optimised for mobile use, I use an iPhone 13 Pro Max which has a large screen and yet a lot of the text is cut off or is not scaled to fit on a smaller device so you can’t read half of the labels for things such as the habit tracker. Clearly it was developed with iPad in mind and ported to other devices with no care or attention. The menus to change preferences such as currency etc etc doesn’t do anything when you click on the other options, useless. The pop up for discounted pricing appears for 2 seconds before disappearing again, you’re then asked for feedback immediately after this, having only used the app for less than 2 minutes it’s hard to think why devs would want feedback when someone hasn’t even had a chance to use their extremely limited under free plan app, so here I am giving feedback. I am using the 3 day trial, which is massively too short considering this is supposed to help organise and build a routine which I doubt anyone will manage within 3 days before giving up because oops, they can’t do anything anymore because it’s all been locked away. These features are very basic and in no way should be behind a pay wall, least of all such an expensive one. Plenty of other decent apps with a one off fee that will do these jobs albeit not all in one place but even added up it would likely still be cheaper than this single app, which has lesser functionality. Get an actual bloody grip of yourselves and at the bare minimum provide

Great!

I really like the way this app looks and works. I tried other apps that were similar in some of the features but this one is way better.

Amazing app!

I have recently been looking for an app that will help me with my schedule and I have gone through at least ten apps! And finally when I came across this app I knew it would be perfect!I am not aloud to purchase anything however, if I could buy anything online it would definitely be this. I have no complains but I do have a few ideas! Possibly you could implement adding photos to you’re ideas and notes! You could also add free diary’s that you can free write instead of answering questions. From Athena xx

Good 👍🏻

Definitely worth paying the premium subscription considering how much I use it for work and how many times it has saved me from missing a deadline.

One thing I really love about Brite is that it is super user-friendly and it lets you organize everything from daily tasks to work projects.

I love but poor syncing

yeeeeeeetbhshshsj on

I absolutely love this app, it has everything I need so I was soooo disappointed to find that the sync with google calendar is glitchy. It only picks up some of my appointments with no particular logic that I can see. It’s totally thrown my work flow as now I have to check the calendar separately and can’t see it all in one place. Super gutted about this as otherwise it’s perfect for my insanely busy life

Well...

It was ok at first and the personalisation quiz was pretty smooth. Then when I got in, I decided to check out some of the quotes. They were great but a little repetitive, but okay, fine, I can live with that. Then when I tried to add a task and complete it, it just logged me out. The interface started to freeze. Finally, when a deleted and reinstalled, the screen started flickering black and white. Don’t get this app.

Good potential

CGABen on

This is a good app overall, however I have found that I can only get it to work on one device. When I install the app on another device it just does not recognise that I already have an account even when I select restore purchase. Instead it tries to get me to subscribe even though I already have a subscription. If you’re only interested in using it on one device then this is a great app, otherwise look elsewhere.

My mom and my sister got so frustrated with my oversights that they told me that I needed to just get Brite. I did so and so far it has been very good.

Buggy to the extent that it’s now unusable

Scottish1977 on

I am begrudgingly leaving this review, because when I came across the app I was excited and saw this replacing the paper version that I use. I paid up for an annual subscription…and now wish I didn’t. My advise, monthly subscription. At least until development has become more stable. The issues I have experienced are syncing of calendar doesn’t always happen or creates multiple events. Tasks (The main thing I use it for) doesn’t show tasks assigned to the days, conflicting information between the task section (appears blank) but has tasks in the main My Day section. adding tasks disappear/not in the right section. Sub-tasks removes the main task if marked as complete. I get that this is a start-up and has continuous development, but adding buggy deployments is affecting the existing users. You need to look at your QA standards because this is a major update that has failed. As one developer to another, fix what is there already there to make it more stable before you start looking at at adding new items. Some of the buggy stuff is your foundational tools. If they’re broke, they affect a multitude of your other tools. I’m now in the process of trying to find a suitable replacement. Until then, I look like I am gonna go back to the paper version 😞
