Dark Reader for Safari Reviews
Great when it works
Sometimes you want to manualy switch the modes on or off but the icon is not responding for any obvious reason. But when it works it is a superb extension, it is unfortunate that is not 100% of the time, but just about 4 out of five sessions.
terrible new update
Inverting images. Terrible for some websites and so far there is no option to turn of this function
Great extension but misses a critical feature
This app works really well across all sorts of different pages I threw at it, but compared to its MacOS counterpart it unfortunately misses automatic switching between dark & light modes based on iOS’s dark/light mode setting, so it’s quite a hassle having to navigate into the extension settings and manually switch it every time, when other dark safari extensions on iOS already do this. I hope this feature gets added in the near future 😉
A great app, works fantastic!
Exactly what I was looking for. Does the job fantastically. Finally I can use GDocs and Google without my eyes bleeding.
The best way to use it is to disable it for all websites and just enable them by clicking the menu for those you want to switch to dark mode.
Only thing that is missing is a mobile Safari support. That would make it perfect.
Fantastic
This is by far the best dark theme app. It works fantastic 99% of the time. My one complaint is that I can’t submit feedback when a site doesn’t work. There are a handful of sites that I just can’t read anything on unless this is disabled. Please allow feedback!
White flashes between websites not fixed.
Still have white flashes when navigating websites. Happens 100% of the time opening any web link on X to safari.
My eyes said thank you
I just got this two days ago but so far works great
Good but can be improved
This extension is great with Safari but I find myself manually changing it. I just which this could sync up with phone display set up and automatically switch from day to night.
Custom theme hex color input please
I noticed that the desktop extension recently got theme presets including Dracula. iOS/Safari already has presets but none of them are Dracula. In addition, specifying a custom theme is inadequate because there is no place to enter a hex for the color. Can a hex input field be added?
