## Dashcam Description
Dash Cam - Car Video Camcorder turns your iPhone or iPad into a reliable driving recorder. It continuously captures your drive in a loop and automatically saves footage when it detects sudden acceleration or braking. Whether it is an accident or a near miss, the app preserves the crucial moment. All key telemetry data such as speed, location, heading, pitch, distance, date, and time can be overlaid directly onto your video, making manipulation nearly impossible. Every instrument can be resized and positioned freely to create the perfect heads-up display.

Configuration
You can adjust the video loop length and the incident saving delay to ensure that moments after an event are also recorded. The sensitivity of the acceleration trigger is configurable as well. Depending on your vehicle and driving style, you may fine-tune this threshold for best results.

Worked ok a couple of times but hassled me for a review and update to premium.

After paying $7.99 for premium the app only rarely saves random clips or none at all which means it cannot be trusted in the event of an accident.

It offers many options for displaying GPS, G force, direction, speed, etc on screen, but the addition of any of these things overheats the phone so it was necessary to remove all of them for the app to remain functional.

Also if the frame rate is set higher than 30fps and video resolution higher than 540p it will also quickly overheat the phone making the higher fps and resolution rates pointless and unusable.

I have tried many “dash camera” apps both free and paid and they all fail in some way or another, but this is the only one that sometimes saves clips or not, and rapidly overheats my phones.

This was my last effort at finding a functional dash cam app for iPhones and once again I’ve wasted my money.
I’ve started researching proper dash cameras now and would recommend anyone reading this to do the same so you don’t waste time, money and avoid the frustration of trying seemingly endless useless apps like this that make big claims about features that in reality simply don’t work.

The App Store has become a storefront for junkware.
