Description

Dash Cam - Car Video Camcorder is an accident camera which records the traffic situation continuously in a loop. When it detects a high acceleration, be it an accident or just strong braking, it stores the last minute into the video library. It allows to render all important telemetry data, such as speed, location, pitch, heading, distance, time, date, etc. directly into your video while it is recorded with your devices' camera. Thus any manipulation is nearly impossible. The 'head up display' instruments are freely configurable in size and they are movable in the picture frame.

► Configuration
You can configure the length of the video loop and the 'incident saving delay'. The latter ensures that even the seconds after the crash are recorded as well. Further you can configure the strength of the acceleration that is needed to trigger saving the video. You might need to play around with that threshold depending on your car and your driving habits.

• Map : Graphical instrument displaying current position in a map (satellite or native)
• Heading : Graphical instrument displaying current magnetic compass heading angle; relative to true north

• Roll/Pitch : Graphical instrument displaying roll and pitch of your camera
• G-Force : Graphical instrument displaying horizontal and vertical G-Forces experienced by your cam
• Date : Current date
• Time : Current time

• DateTime : Current date and time as 1-or 2-line text display
• GPS Position : GPS coordinates of your location as 1-or 2-line text display
• Course : Course angle of current movement heading vector of your camera relative to true north
• Heading : Compass angle of your cam heading view vector of your camera relative to north
• Altitude : Altitude based on GPS
• Distance : Distance traversed since start. Can be reset in ‘Settings’ by the user anytime
• Duration : Duration passed since start. Can be reset in ‘Settings’ by the user anytime

Absolutely fantastic app

A bit crap, too many distractions whilst driving

Far too many crap things going on, all very distracting and they pester you to like the App despite distracting you from the road ahead. Dangerous App to have open while driving really.

Few questions need answers

How to reset distance each trip Can you make it carry on recording if switch to maps?? No contact info. Otherwise like it

Not very good

Only saves videos on crash. Not a good feature. I bought it not realising this and it’s not for debate. You can’t turn it on or off. Saves on crash and that’s it. Looking for a better one. I would suggest they put that in as an option not a must. Let’s it down. We all know we see stupid driving. What is I needed to supply video evidence on a crash I had witnessed where someone died ?? Please developer put this as an OPTION not set in stone

Doesn’t record in the background and if it does its not clear neither does it explain that if i buy the full version it will record in the background I’m not sure if it does so i will not try with mu hard

I haven’t even tried it while driving yet. Trying to set up what is visible while using it. In portrait mode it’s fine. However in landscape mode it will not allow me to access the configuration button. I suggest you sort this problem.

Not reliable enough

I have experienced problems with the app crashing, and showing memory warnings, in site of ~10gb of space on my phone. Disappointing and now I am looking at alternatives.

Worst app

Rubbish. I upgraded but just keeps turning off while driving
