Definitely worth the buck
I switched to Date Limite+ from an app whose subscription arrangement had become too expensive. As suspected, I found the free version Date Limite too limited, so at the low price of $1 one might as well go for Date Limite+ right away. Compared to the way more expensive app I was previously using to keep track of expiry dates, the only feature I am really missing is the ability to share with the rest of the household. With Date Limite+ I’m keeping tabs of what’s in my freezer as well as in my fridge and elsewhere. Notifications of expiring items in the freezer is not very useful, so it would be helpful if specific lists could be set to be exempt from expiry notifications. The Date Limite apps has a French language fundament, which sometimes becomes apparent, for instance in error messages. The app has a stylish interface and works pretty well. Although I don't yet own an Apple Watch, since I plan to get me one soon, I'll also reserve some praise to the developer for making this app available for watchOS as well. I like that Date Limite+ is fetching information from Open Food Facts and helping to contribute to it, though its database is not yet among the most content-rich. There are a few things that has annoyed me about Date Limite+. When adding a photo of a product it very often fails to save. It just simply disappears, forcing me to take a new picture of the product. That happens more often than not. I've also experienced that the app refuses to save a particular product. Despite these sources of annoyance, I definitely consider Date Limite+ worth the buck.
