## Davey TankSense Reviews in Australia

### *---- "Cannot reconnect"
Cannot reconnect, app won't even let me create a new account. Clicked on support link to find a dead support page. Pretty hopeless.
-- TravisCarter, 2024-12-04

### *---- "Terrible"
Can’t log in
Can’t reset password
Tried everything to fix
Waste of money

### ***-- "Nice idea but clunky"
The app sort of works but has a lot of problems. Foremost of these is that scanning of the sensor is unreliable. After a successful scan, if the sensor is rescanned a minute later from exactly the same position it fails to read (sensor not in range). The app logs you out randomly and their is no option to use fingerprint or face scanning, which is a pain. It’s not possible to leave the options section without rescanning the sensor (which may or may not be successful). Similarly there’s no obvious way to leave the rainfall forecast section without closing the app. The biggest problem is accuracy of the pressure sensor. In my situation at least it’s not good. At the start I used the known max water height and tank volume but it under reported the known volume by about 15%. In the end, I reduced the height of the max water volume in the app until it read 100% which equated to the max water volume in the tank (working with a tank at max capacity of water). It was a bit of a fiddle I didn’t expect. At this stage it’s a bit ho-hum, which is pity because it deserves to be better.

### ***** "Does the job!"
It took a little bit of setting up and we had to get the tutorial on calibrating it from the manufacturer and put the battery in back to front to get it to work properly- but once that was sorted, it was simple.

The app works fine except that it doesn’t keep you logged in. Honestly, why I’d need to keep putting in my username and password is beyond me. Just leave me logged in. No one else cares how much water I have in my tank except for me- perhaps tone down the security?

### *---- "Don’t buy"
Sensor easily water affected . On my 3 one in 1.5 years.

App only works every now and then.

Great idea not well designed/ developed

### *---- "Complete Dud! - Update - Still no joy!"
Managed to get a reading a few months ago, must have been a fluke! Now, unable to connect at all. Have deleted and reinstalled app to no avail. Seems to drain battery. Chose this sensor over cheaper types despite the high price as liked the install and app. Would be ideal if it worked! Davey, you need to recall and refund this sensor. Definitely won’t stand up to a Fair Trading claim.
Update...Unit replaced. Battery ok. However, always shows Tank level as 100% and never any rainfall showing as well. Still not happy.

### *---- "TankSense"
After initial setup and programming of the TankSense device I don’t get consistent readings. After a replacement unit was sent it appears to be faulty as it was draining the battery after a week. So far not that impressed with it.
-- Offworld., 2020-10-26

### *---- "It can’t be trusted"
I’ve had this for 2 months now.
Apart from having to stand next to the tank to update the readings - The readings either fluctuate widely or don’t at all.
I’ve just had 20mm of rain - not used any tank water and TankSense says my tank has gone from 78 to 53% overnight (the tank is actually 95% full.
It seems that Davey did this app/device, launched it and then completely forgot about it.
Their customer service team do not reply to help requests.
Until Davey update the app or do something
DO NOT BUY IT- A COMPLETE WASTE OF MONEY.
Not good enough Davey.

### *---- "Bad app and bad sensor"
Have to be within one and a half meters of the sensor for it to be detected. It is now August 2020 and still can’t connect a second sensor. Tried to contact you last week. No response

### *---- "Good when it works, poor when it doesn’t"
We’ve had ours approx 6 months. Last 3 months we haven’t been able to get a reading. Hubby messaged Davey and their advice was to delete app and reinstall. Nope does t work. Battery still at 100%. Last sensor reading 127 days ago. Finally read now after reinstalling and says 0% water, which is false. For a $200+ piece of equipment, quite dissatisfied
