هو المشروع الذي تطلقه وزارة الرياضة بالتعاون مع وزارة التعليم ، ويهدف إلى تمكين جيل اليوم من صناعة انجازات لمستقبل الرياضة السعودية ليتواكب مع رؤية 2030، وذلك من خلال اكتشاف المواهب الرياضية في المدارس ورعايتها لتكون نواة للمنتخبات الوطنية ،ويقام دوري المدارس في جميع مدن ومحافظات ومناطق المملكة في المدارس الثانوية والمتوسطة والابتدائية في مدارس التعليم العام والخاص والأجنبي وتشمل المشاركة طلاب المدارس (بنين - بنات) وفق الشروط التي تحددها إدارة مشروع الدوري وتشمل المرحلة الأولى التصفيات على مستوى ادارات التعليم في المدن والمحافظات والمناطق والمدارس التابعة لها (البطولة العامة) والمرحلة الثانية تشمل التصفيات على مستوى المناطق (بطولة المناطق) والمرحلة الثالثة هي مرحلة النهائية على مستوى المملكة (بطولة المملكة للنخبة)
