Not worth the money . Definitely a scam -- Zippy Mystic, 2025-01-10 ### *---- "Mindfulness tracking" New version removed that feature. Takes an extra level of incompetency to break what worked. Simple: bring that back. -- ArcticSkua, 2025-01-10 ### **--- "Once great journaling app stopped working after last update" It was a good app until the last update. Now on all my devices Day One will crash at startup. Opened tickets and no one replies. After being turned into a paid app, you get zilch support. And I can’t even get in to the app and it broke my journaling streak (Day One takes pride in that). NOT worth it anymore. Use the Apple Journal app since Day One Support barely exists. My old review: Beautiful app and UI, but no optional sync with iCloud or Dropbox. Also zero encryption for Day One's old sync. Deal breaker for some like me. Don't buy unless you're fine with zero encryption sync to their servers (encryption will be available later in 2016). Wished I would have waited. -- phongsta, 2025-01-09 ### ****- "It could be perfect with handwriting function" Overall good experience. It could be perfect if adding handwriting function. A bit expensive by the way. -- 911苹果, 2025-01-09 ### *---- "Used to work perfectly, now completely broken" I have used this app for years with no issues and everything was fine. Lately however, the app won’t let me type in it. It completely ignores all keystrokes from Magic Keyboard and won’t allow the iPad’s virtual keyboard to even open. I literally can’t write in this journal now. -- BAWilliams95, 2025-01-09 ### ***** "The perfect Habit!" I can’t think of anything more valuable than a history of memories and this app makes it so easy. It’s super easy to learn how to use because it makes sense the way it’s put together. I use it on my phone and air book. I have used Day One for years sometimes daily for two straight! I’ve slacked off lately but what a beautiful record I have! Thanks Day One! -- Moosedog33, 2025-01-08 ### *---- "Original Paid app no longer supported…bait and switch" I started using Day One back in Jan 2015 and paid my one time fee of $8.49. Now they want an annual subscription for not just new features but features I have been using since day one. No longer can I add multiple photos to an entry. No longer are all of my photos accessible to add to entries. And no longer can I synch with my MacBook. I’m done paying for more and more monthly subscriptions. If Apple Journal would import my entries, I’d gladly pay just to get away from an app that changed the rules. Bye bye Day One! Update: Received a reply from developer explaining pricing. However, no explanation as to why features I originally paid for are no longer available unless I upgrade. Update 1/7/25: I reached out to developer as recommended. I received a reply stating that the version I purchased is no longer supported. So now I understand. The developer was allowed to change the name of the app and no longer support that version and no longer will provide the same features as I had originally purchased unless I pay $35/year. You would think original users would be grandfathered into the new version since the original users are those who helped with their success. -- BobSmi, 2025-01-07 ### ****- "Colors" With every update that comes out I look forward to the day I can write and see colors to display my various moods. It seems so simple but for some odd reason Day One doesn’t implement it. -- SteveInWeston, 2025-01-07 ### *---- "No Longer Free" I’ve used this app for years and absolutely loved it, but I took a little break and when I can back, the pop-up for premium simply doesn’t go away. I have no interest in being forced to pay $35 a month for this. It’s very frustrating to suddenly lose access to everything and not have any way to get ride of the pop up. -- Needle16, 2025-01-06 ### ****- "Almost Perfect" This journal app is amazing! I love the templates and are all so helpful. The only thing that might not get me to stay is the lack of Apple Pencil support outside of the drawing function. Even if the drawing function had a lines edit, it would be a bit helpful. Ideally a handwriting function (not just scribble) would make the iPad app top tier! -- To panga, 2025-01-04 [View all Day One reviews and detailed analytics on AppTail](https://app.apptail.io/signup?utm_campaign=ai-crawl&utm_content=reviews) ## Day One In-App Purchases | Item | Price | |------|-------| | Day One Premium | $34.99 | | Day One Premium (1 Month) | $5.99 | | Premium Yearly for Plus Users | $34.99 | | Premium Yearly | $34.99 | | 300 Text Messages | $4.99 | ## Day One Store Rankings | Chart | Country | Category | Rank | |-------|---------|----------|------| | Top Grossing | Vietnam | Health Fitness | #19 | | Top Grossing | Singapore | Health Fitness | #34 | | Top Grossing | Hong Kong SAR China | Health Fitness | #40 | | Top Grossing | Japan | Health Fitness | #46 | | Top Grossing | China | Health Fitness | #54 | | Top Grossing | South Korea | Health Fitness | #56 | | Top Grossing | Taiwan | Health Fitness | #59 | | Top Grossing | Netherlands | Health Fitness | #64 | | Top Grossing | Finland | Health Fitness | #68 | | Top Grossing | Czechia | Health Fitness | #86 | | Top Grossing | Germany | Health Fitness | #87 | | Top Grossing | United States | Health Fitness | #94 | | Top Free | Singapore | Health Fitness | #210 | | Top Free | South Africa | Health Fitness | #225 | | Top Free | Algeria | Health Fitness | #227 | | Top Free | Pakistan | Health Fitness | #248 | | Top Free | Nigeria | Health Fitness | #249 | ## Day One Discovered Keywords -
