DCTA canceled buses in Lewisville to do this privatized “on demand” rider program. The app shadowbans users from low income areas. “Guaranteed ride home program” has left me stranded at midnight at Trinity Mills Station about FOUR times. I only see this message: “We’re sorry - we’re experiencing unusually high demand and all seats are currently filled.”. As a user, you’ll memorize that message and curse the people at DCTA that decided to cancel buses in exchange for this completely unreliable service. I guess on a positive note, this app will forcefully inspire you to go to learn how your local transit system works and when the board of directors meetings are so you can go give your input as a citizen. These DCTA and the company Via are in it to reduce service to civilians. I never got stranded late at night using the old buses because they had a reliable schedule I could count on. Please go complain at local DCTA meetings as a citizen too if this app has left you high and dry in isolated dark areas. I’ve had to use some of my last money before my next paycheck on last minute Ubers because of this unreliable app. They lie and say they’re busy, then when you ask the drivers, they say “it’s been super slow today because no one knows about this service at trinity mills station..”. But when you call on the phone to book a ride, they say there’s “high demand”. Math ain’t mathing. They reduce service on purpose to save money, especially near apartment complexes. -- lbghm, 2025-06-18 ### *---- "This app is horrible" i genuinely hate this app so much. i started trying to book a ride (because the app NEVER has seats available so you have to book at least 2 hours earlier to atleast get a ride) at 11. the app didn’t find an available driver for me until 12:40. mins you i had somewhere to be at 1 O CLOCK. the car takes 30 minutes to get to your house and another 15 to take you to your destination. i didnt get to work until 1:20-1:30 . this has happened every single time ive tried to use this app. it genuinely isnt worth the $1.50 they charge you and i advise you spend the extra $4 for an uber. this trash app almost caused me to loose my job -- axrriaz, 2025-06-10 ### ***** "The Best Driver I’ve had" The Driver was very Professional -- Jim Gorman, 2025-06-07 ### *---- "Terrible" If you don’t have to rely on public transit, please don’t use. My boyfriend booked a ride and he dresses emo, and the driver was shunning him the entire time telling me him he needs to find god and that he is a bad person for having piercings. Also, extremely inexperienced drivers that will be on their phones looking down texting not looking at the road at all.
