The app used to be very snappy and would load very easily. Now, the loaders doesn’t disappear. Even though I can see the news has loaded, there is the loader overlay which keeps going on for almost a minute. Its frustrating.

What I like:
1. Simple and intuitive interface - it just works and in my mind, that’s the sign of a well designed app
2. Very few (non-intrusive) ads 
3. Free

The only minor bug is that the page reverts to the top of the user inadvertently scrolls slightly (even a few pixels) to the left or to the right. Not a big deal, but can be somewhat interruptive. 

Overall, 5 stars and better than many apps (including those that charge a subscription) made by much larger media companies.

I’ve been loving the app for 1. Its from namma state & 2. Content. However, the below would make it the ‘only’ app we all need:

1. Add more stories like 10-15 rather than limiting it to 5 to the swipes experience.
2. Add an additional gesture to swipe left to go back to the home page.

This is for both DH as well as Prajavani apps.

I am buying DH from last 20 years. It was a good local Newspaper with good local news. And it was neutral newspaper not supporting any religion or political party. But from last few months when we read the news it as became supporting or helping one political party. 

And the recently article heading on the film TKF is unacceptable. It show DH supporting or showing sympathy on one religion. But you could have gone for neutral heading. 

I am from here after stopping to buy DH newspaper

This app has exceeded my expectations on what a newspaper app needs to be! 
DH is one of the few sources of unbiased news, this combined with a flawless UI is just the cherry on top. Absolutely love using this app!

The overall read experience is good, but I see the articles in Sunday Herald is not updated.
For example, the weekly horoscope in Sunday Herald always shows Feb 9-15. Please update this as well.

So, I am a 90's kid from Bengaluru and Deccan Herald is a household name for many alike.

This News Paper has been 100/100 on content and 0/100 for celebrity gossips and other celebrity related nonsenses.

I love and we still subscribe to the morning News Paper..

And now having the same experience on the app is just Wonderful.

About the app-

1. Clean and crisp
2. No ad-related distractions
3. Content driven
4. Doesn't go overboard at any point
5. UX is great
6. UI is subtle and wonderful.

In all, I would not hesitate even for a split second if they are to introduce a Subscription for premium usage.

Deccan Herald (and Prajavani)... you have my heart and you always will.
