Aplle should not allow such app to be even downloaded for free from the store. Just take a look on how much MB it has. Each update they say bug fixes. Tell me what bug you exchange for another bug. Soooooo slow. Crashes. And when it finally loads, than it freezes. Sometimes I have to reset my network connection. In the mornigs i wanted to just conveniently turn on and play some music to wake up smoothly. Instead of that I am fed up by Denon to not even turn on my reciever.
The app is simply a disaster. It feels to be web app, not native as responsivness of UI is awful as the UI itself. It takes ages to get connection with your receiver and then it drops again. Not speaking of loading times of even your saved favourites list. I'm really highly disappointed by such s*it app provided by company like Denon for equipment in cost of hundreds of $$. It feels like luxury car delivered without steering wheel - or just fake one. I'm thinking of selling my receiver in favour of getting something that just works. F**k you, Denon!
Why do i have to wait 15 seconds of loading of the app, then not be able to get my receiver even listed so i need to try for at least another 30 seconds many times again to finaly get access (so long after i was interested in to use the app...) If you are not able to quick-scan for your receiver, why don’t you implement manual settings or to be able to save the found receiver, so user doesn’t have to “detect Denon AVR” every app launch. (the IP is even reserved in my DHCP...) And the delay while streaming audio from phone.., another joke. Denon claims it’s needed for buffer and to process the audio, Bluetooth v4.1 about 1-2 seconds for play/pause button and forward/backward the music track, Airplay2 even worse. I kinda regret now that i bought x3600h rather than something else. I hope the audio dropouts via ARC are just faulty HDMI cable(doubt about it, it’s certified HDMI 2.1) Btw: Be carefull about blaming customer’s network... (i have 10Gbps wired network and UniFi APs)
Applicatiom do not show selected mode properly. When I’m listening music and change sound mode to music, app still showing MOVIE mode, even when av receiver change sound mode. Another problem is with audyssey function. App do not show corect MultEQ XT32 function and do not remember what is chosen. Need some fixes
