Local network access
App does not seem to be asking the OS for local network access. Instead it asks the user to give access, but in iOS settings only apps that require this access from the OS appear in the list. App is useless

This app for iPhone and iPad will give you an unprecedented level of command and control over your 2014 or later model year network ready Denon AV Receivers (due to hardware differences, older models are not supported with this app. Please check the model compatibility list below; if your model is not listed, please download our previous “Denon Remote App”). Along with many new features, the graphics and user interface have been completely overhauled.
Control the basic functions of your Denon product with power, volume, input and settings.
Network browsing is either done within the Denon AVR Remote app or depending on model by selecting HEOS network as input which opens the HEOS app automatically.
With the Denon AVR Remote, your iOS device just became an integral part of your home entertainment experience.

Cannot connect to device
This app, like Heos, does not detect the Avr device although network connection is established. I believe the new iOS version 16.5 is not compatible anymore with this AVR. Denon, update your software
Not connecting to device
After years of using with high difficulty because it was very unstable, now it’s impossible to connect to my device. I have tried all the posibilities and every time an unexpected error apear. Next time I will buy a smarter avr. Shame on you because I can’t use my receiver at full capacity!
Not very Happy
Unfortunately the application is unstable, please developers do something about that. I have to use it because on zone 2 the speakers are outside and is the only way to connect to the denon receiver. Thanks

Awful
My NAS feeds hi-res wav or flac files to my Denon avr. The app/avr soft is awfully glichy, would not play any queue or playlist, it just repets the same song over and over. Frustrating.
Untether the volume button
This app has almost blown my speakers twice. When you’re listening to music/pods and check an IG reel or whatever— after exiting the reel it maxes the volume out on both zones. This is detrimental to your audio equipment. If I want to adjust the volume, I’ll do so through the app as intended. Not a permanently bound volume button on my phone
Worst app doesn’t connect to device
I have Denon AVR, even though my device and phone are on the same WiFi, this app never connects to the device.
Glitchy app
The app frequently loses its connection to the receiver. Cold-booting the receiver is seldom convenient, so I just use the receiver's remote.
Terrible app
About 9 times out of 10 this app will not connect to my Denon receiver.
