## Denon AVR Remote Description
This app for iPhone and iPad will give you an unprecedented level of command and control over your 2014 or later model year network ready Denon AV Receivers (due to hardware differences, older models are not supported with this app. Please check the model compatibility list below). Along with many new features, the graphics and user interface have been completely overhauled.
Control the basic functions of your Denon product with power, volume, input and settings.
Network browsing is either done within the Denon AVR Remote app or depending on model by selecting HEOS network as input which opens the HEOS app automatically.
With the Denon AVR Remote, your iOS device just became an integral part of your home entertainment experience.

*1: A firmware update for your Denon product is may be needed, please update the firmware via the system setup menu. (General > Firmware)　If the App doesn't work well, please try to reboot your mobile device, unplug the power cord of the main unit and reinsert into the power outlet or check your home network.
*2: Please set "Network Control" to "ON" in your product via the system setup menu to use this app. (Network > Network Control)
*3: The OS language setting is automatically detected; when not available, English is selected.

The app for some reason, just decides not to connect. It can’t seem to find my network, which is clearly active. I’ve tried a number of recommended app remedies and it still doesn’t work.  I’ve deleted and re-reloaded the app, I have made sure that I have the most recent updates with my receiver and the app, and I’ve restarted my network which is always inconvenient.

I don’t know what the bugs are with this thing but it’s really annoying

The functionality is pathetic. Could be much easier to switch inputs. The last update just killed the option start/stop Zone 2. Can’t turn Zone 2 on. 

Fix it!  This is one of the most important functions. 

Denon is way behind on the technology.  Grade school kids can make a better app.

This app works as intended but is pretty difficult to use and isn’t all that exciting plus the Alexa app isn’t linking to it very well and the receiver is displaying as “offline” so I can’t play music using Alexa to the receiver PLUS there is no option to make it not display anything on the tv screen and it’s annoying like at least give us screen savers so we can make a black screen one or smth jeeze my eyes hurt at night and want some lullaby to sleep

I've changed my hdmi inputs on my s760h to match my equipment installed. But, the port I'm using (hdmi 3) defaults to blue ray player and that's not what is installed on port 3!  The view on the app shows blueray controls. Can you change the default viewing for each port and/or give us the option to choose which screen we want for each input?

It is unbelievable how un-user friendly this app can be - last time I pay more than 1000$ for a Denon Receiver and this app- can’t figure out simple things - only simple thing is to stream your iPhone to the receiver - the rest is black magic - can’t you hire people with user interface experience and ergonomic training ???
You would multiply your business by 100… get some people from Apple ??
Crazy - so much frustration 
I took the time to get 3 Master in my life and I am an engineer - no time to waste with such a poor design

I have used this app for a couple of years and now it no longer works. Says it cannot find the receiver. I have done all the troubleshooting and nothing works.  I am no longer am a Denon fan. Others are reporting the same issues and no response from Denon.

…One design request: please move the tiny quick select buttons away from the bottom of the screen, or add an option to hide/remove/disable them.

Swiping up from the bottom is how you switch apps is iOS. This design choice was probably made back when iPhones had separate home buttons, but they haven’t for years. I am constantly switching inputs by accident every time I close the app, and I can’t be the only one. Annoys everyone in the family. Thank you.

Sad. Updated to support new models, but “unprecedented control”? Hardly. Where is the automation support for mobile. Why do I, everyday, have to open the App, turn on the AVR, wait for the AVR to be responsive, select the desired output profile, go back to my media App and AirPlay to the AVR. Provide at least one Shortcut action and maybe I’ll concede it is more than just a wrapper around web access from any device on the same network

After upgrading to IOS 18.3.1 from IOS 17, app doesn’t find receiver on network. I have tried disabling and enabling network access in privacy settings. I have also deleted and reinstalled app. 
So now I’m completely unable to make setting changes in the app that I cannot make via remote or receiver front interface.  Makes me never to want to buy Denon again.
