## Dete by Discount Trolley Description
Stop paying full price for groceries. Dete by Discount Trolley finds the cheapest price for the items in your weekly shop, across seven Australian stores: Woolworths, Coles, ALDI, IGA, Harris Farm, Priceline and Chemist Warehouse. Every special in one place, smarter lists that tell you where to shop and when to buy, a health rating to help you compare products, and now healthier swaps.

NEW: HEALTHIER SWAPS FOR YOUR TROLLEY
Keep the trolley you like and see where a similar product has a better health rating. Swap only if you want to.
* Open a product and the app shows a similar one with a better health rating
* Healthier swaps come with Premium.

COMPARE PRODUCTS AT A GLANCE
No more squinting at the back of the pack.
* Find the badge on product cards, search results, your shopping list and saved items
* Tap the badge to see what pushes the score up or down, per 100 g
* Every source is listed under Sources, with a How we rate guide in the app
* Scan a barcode in store and the rating shows in the result
Our health rating helps you compare products and isn't medical or dietary advice.

ONE SEARCH, EVERY STORE
Search any product, brand or category and we'll show you which store has it cheapest.
* Prices from Woolworths, Coles, ALDI, IGA, Harris Farm, Priceline and Chemist Warehouse
* Find the cheapest grocery store near you
* See which aisle it's in and whether your store has it in stock, where the store shares it
* Keep your favourite items and stores on a watchlist

EVERY HALF PRICE SPECIAL AND WEEKLY DEAL
Half price deals, catalogue specials and weekly specials in one place, including ALDI Special Buys.

SMARTER SHOPPING LISTS
Add your shopping list and we'll find you the best prices.
* Smart Swaps: we check for cheaper stores or better value alternatives on your list.
* Price drop alerts: know the best day to shop.

SCAN. COMPARE. DECIDE.
Standing in Woolworths wondering if Coles has it cheaper? Scan the barcode and we'll show you the price at your other stores, plus the health rating. Open a product to check Amazon compare when a verified match is available.

THE SUPERMARKETS HAVE PSYCHOLOGISTS. YOU HAVE US.
Prices move in cycles, and not every "special" is a great deal. We show you weeks of real price history and flag prices that look suspicious. Dete (say De-tee), our soft koala, reads the price history and holds up a sign: Good time, Wait if you can, or About usual. Not enough history yet? Dete says Not sure yet. You'll also see your own grocery inflation rate, not the headline CPI, plus monthly spending summaries, a savings tracker and grocery budget tools.

BUILT WITH OTHER SHOPPERS
* Deal Voting: upvote or downvote specials so other shoppers know what's worth grabbing.
* Clearance Reports: shoppers report in-store markdown finds near you. Yellow-sticker deals rarely make the catalogue, so the community shares them here.

PRIVACY FIRST
Your data stays private. We don't sell data and we don't share your shopping habits with retailers. We're 100% independent and Australian owned. Not affiliated with any of these stores, and shelf prices can differ from the screen.

## Dete by Discount Trolley Reviews in Australia

### ***** "AMAZING APP!!"
Finally an app that works in this area. all the others are broken and prices arent up to date. The support is also very responsive too
-- Douhwah, 2026-09-12

### ***** "Don’t bother with other apps. This one is all you need"
It has everything, coles, woolworths, aldi. All in one. I have one shopping list for everything and I can compare prices and save money. It just works. I’ve tried other apps but this one is by far the best
-- Thedon221, 2026-09-11

### ***** "BEST PRICE COMPARISON APP HANDS DOWN"
I cant put words to describe how good this app is. It clearly made with love and easy go use and all ghe prices are up to date. Other comparison apps are just bad ports slop that never update the prices and has bugs
-- Graalian1, 2026-09-10

### ***** "Way better than other apps"

-- Zedjawiz, 2026-09-09

### ***** "THE BEST GROCERY APP PERIOD."
Discount Trolly has been one of the best apps that I’ve used this year in my attempts to be more financially savvy and aware of my spending habits. The ability to split your bill across multiple stores and see the cheapest price is a godsend, especially as someone who lives in close proximity to a lot of these stores. The lists are super handy for me to make lists for all my different recipes and tick off the items I currently have vs what I need to buy. The premium does provide some key features that I wish were included in free-tier like the scanner, but you still do get free scans which was helpful and the main features are absolutely well worth the purchase. I’ve tried all the competitors, and some don’t load properly, nor do they having working barcode scanners. So to me the free tier is solid, and the premium is well worth the subscription. I have been hounding my friends to get this, such a game changing app.

### ****- "Better than other apps but free version is overly limited"
App is better than others in this category. You can search for items and compare prices for the same or comparable items across Woolies/Coles/Aldi. I particularly like the option to create a shopping list and have the app split your shop across the three to optimise savings. Note: while the free plan says “up to 2 shopping lists”, the maximum number of items than can be added (i.e. “saved” to the list is 10. It’s essentially a chance to see how the function works and to decide if you want to subscribe. That said, it’s still a good app to search once and find the best price.
