Hey, just bought the app subscription service currently on a 7 day trial, looking to use the appthia weekend! I wanted to ask weather you would be introducing feature to track and record lean angles in the near future or if its even possible for to incorporate the feature in the app, its something I'm looking to have. Thank-you
I rarely write reviews, but for this I feel these guys need to be credited. I have been using this app for a few years. It provides really good route planning, especially for a biker. I especially love the option to switch between motorways, major roads and twisty back lanes. I also love the circular route option which takes me on a different fun route each time. Anyway my reason for writing this is that I had a minor crash on the bike a few days ago. The crash detection activated automatically after 30 seconds. I gave me the option to disable the alert on a 30 second count down. If I had let it proceed it would called my wife with info on my location, etc. To add to this I received a really nice personal email from an agent at Detecht asking me to confirm that I was ok. For me, it’s those little touches that really matter.
Looks good. So far I used just once. There should be feature to upload gpx file though
I’ve used it once do a 50 mile round trip in the southeast of kent and I must say I’m very impressed! It took me down roads I would normally avoid but it all became part of the fun. The ONLY criticism I have is that on the UK backroads it doesn’t seem to realise you’re about to go across a crossroads or something, or tells you to follow the road round when it’s actually a junction. Get this sometime with a normal satnav, but on what I think of a short ride, it happened enough times for me to feel the need to bring it up. Overall I think the app is great though and I will continue to use it, I think it’s great! Especially all the tracking stuff after, the social feed looks quite fun too.
Chosing the worst road ever( lots of pothole sand on roads) when you want a road trip.Showing wrong directions in roundabout. I realy want to like but it just anoying.
So the record ride feature is spot on and good for sharing rides with others. The plan ride bit needs some tweaking, one it is set for a round route it seems to add small sections that you have to come back on your self with having gone up the road by a small margin, this is frustrating when following. If that annoyance could be ironed out would be good.
so often showing wrong direction bring you back to the same road so you don't go anywhere
Great app really enjoy using it found some good routes
The app is awesome for using back lanes to go from A to B via XYZ - premium features are 100% worth it!
I downloaded this app yesterday and it was super easy to setup. Got to using the features straight away. Props to the developer(s). Very well laid out too
