## Deutsch Wörterbuch Description
This is German language dictionary App that works without an internet connection. Download it now and get the basic functionality free. If you like the App, contribute towards our hard work with an In-App purchase. 

This App features a subtle and elegant interface, a vast database and powerful usability functions. Included at no cost is a search of over 30 thousand of the German language's most common words. 

Other beneficial capabilities include bookmarks, go to a random word feature from the menu or device shake, change the text size with the pinch gesture and Tap and hold to search for the selected text from the quick context menu. 

Unlock the full potential of the App with the In-App purchase. With the Deep Search capability you can search by translations and related words. The word index view shows an indexed list of all the words in the dictionary, touch the indexed letter to quickly jump to words beginning with that character. The settings function controls the appearance of the App.

The definitions are good and also formated well. However, there are some serious problems. The main problem seems to be the smallness of the dictionary. The first three words I looked up as a test were not found: Gobelin, Täfelung, ruchbar.
Close matches don't seem to be shown. The options screen crashes. The app is only formatted for the original aspect ratio (not the new taller displays). Finally, the information screen seems to have been translated by machine (this is the least serioua problem).
If you have a small German vocabulary, this will probably be useful. Otherwise, steer clear.

There is a lot I like about this App: word search and Grammar etc. But there are 2 things that need to be corrected: 1) in-app purchases does not work, 2) under info: frequently asked questions etc. The German text is horrible, it seems to me that it was not written by a native German. Was it a literal translation from a computer? Please update because overall this is a great tool!

As with Steam Heavy's Wörterbuch, this is based on the Wiktionary definitions, but this one won't crash in iOS 5. It's a great source for conjugation information, and contains many words that you won't find in most other dictionaries. On the downside, it requires a WiFi connection to work. Definitely worth the download in spite of this occasional inconvenience.
