The Dexcom G7 Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM) System supports more empowered and integrated diabetes management. Its low-profile, wearable sensor provides real-time glucose data to a user’s compatible display device, no fingersticks required.†  
Dexcom G7 also offers customizable alerts that can help warn of high or low glucose levels, as well as remote monitoring and reporting options that help keep users connected to their loved ones and care teams anytime, anywhere.

In addition to the accurate performance provided by the Dexcom Sensor, you’ll receive other valuable features:

Apple Watch:

G7 app features and partner integrations may differ by region.  Refer to your user guide for more information.

**Compatible smartphone is required to pair a new Dexcom G7 sensor with a compatible Apple Watch. Dexcom G7 users must continuously have their smartphone within 20 feet / 6 meters to utilize the Share/Follow features. Apple Watch is not capable of Share/Follow.

### *---- "Don’t setup in another Country"
Tried to do the initial setup in Cabo on vacation. If your setup country phone location doesn’t match ur address country u get an error and sent to costumer service, which is no help. I tried to circumvent the problem with another email and using a Mexico address but the product doesn’t allow u to select Mexico as a option. Now I am testing the test strip way. Thanks Dexcom app. Frustrating!

Too often, pairing with Apple watch takes hours to complete even when the watch is worn on the same side as the Dexcom G7 sensor. The bluetooth pairing process must be broken to be so bad compared to consumer bluetooth devices.

### ****- "Fast entry"
Fast acting insulin is the most common thing you enter. Currently it takes too many steps. Under the plus button there should be a “Fast” button. Hit it, the number, then Save. No confirm, if you did it wrong you can always go back and change it.

Also, if you accidentally enter fasting insulin for a long acting insulin amount, or vice versa, there’s no way to delete it, or change the type of insulin.

I have been using the G7 app for a few weeks. So far I am not happy with the app or the connectivity. The app continues to lose my sensor on my PDM, iPhone and Apple Watch. I miss certain features on the G6 app. I am going to switch back to G6. Not happy with this app.

My rating from before got deleted, but I think the biggest issue is that critical alerts MUST be enabled to use the app. 

Dexcom is sometimes not accurate, and having my phone make an obnoxious beeping sound during a job interview, because it thinks I’m low when I’m not, is simply unacceptable. 

Patients should be able to decide what notifications are allowed, not Dexcom. It’s ridiculous.

Also, there were no features added from the g6 app to the g7. They had years to improve user interface, Dexcom share, clarity, and so much more, but there is nothing added from generation to generation. 

Disappointed to see a regression, as opposed to progress, from a supposedly cutting edge company.

This is extremely annoying because I can no longer use my iPhone for this Dexcom thing. This is ridiculous. I guess I will just have to switch to that yellow thing for my CGM. Silly.

I haven’t had a problem with my watch until the last two. I know it is a Beta program, but the fact that that my watch continues to try to pair for two weeks saps my battery on my watch. I really love the quick warm up time, but the watch connection might be a problem.

This app is a hit or miss. I’ve already reinstalled cell phone app multiple times, because every new sensor is having issues to connect directly to the iWatch. Reinstalling the iPhone Dexcom G7 app seems to resolve the issue, but only until the next Dexcom sensor is activated. Dexcom, please fix this.

Even the applicator is to difficult for a diabetic, who has lost a finger. Never staying connected. This product is not ready for market!!! I’m going back to G6. At there I will not get sick in the hospital!!!!!

This app has several annoyances. 1. Getting started process forces you to watch many videos like you are a child, 2. Every single time I open it to check numbers it says lost connection phone must be within 30 feet andy phone is literally right by me. Then it takes a long time to display the info. 3. It seems to force notifications. Listen a competitor has none of these annoying behaviors. That said after the all day annoyances it  seems to be giving ok data.

“Direct to watch” never works. 1st sensor was 75-80 points off. Had to replace after day 3. 2nd sensor paired to watch but never works. Have to keep phone close. 

Had to switch to Dexcom because of lack of availability on FS3. Dexcom needs to step up their game and become more reliable as a medical device and not a convenience.

STILL having issues after 4 weeks of usage and CONSTANT issues.  

Directly to watch is a joke and even worse (if possible) since Apple upgrade. 
NOT COMPATIBLE WITH IOS 18

My first review of an app ever. Did you make the app terrible just so we would be forced to shell out the extra $ for the receiver? I’ve had a G7 less than a week, and I’ll be going back to the Libre. The app constantly crashes, I have to turn  Bluetooth off and on multiple times a day because it isn’t finding the sensor on the same arm holding my phone, and it gives me a blank white screen like it’s doing right now. I’m so frustrated that I paid more for an inferior product in the Dexcom. 😩 (restarting app and phone do not help)

Screen Time,  Low Power Mode
And Hidden Apps cause problems with the app.  Dexcom needs to develop their app properly to work with iOS properly.  This is a critical app to monitor medical issues and it is difficult to understand why Dexcom doesn’t develop the app to work seamlessly with iOS.  Thank you.

Update: , Dexcom, sent me a link to a form for a sensor problem in response to my review. This is an app issue not a sensor issue. The problem is that the app isn’t 100% compatible with iOS, as stated on Dexcom’a own website. iOS features need to be disabled when using their app.

I’ve had five consecutive sensors that aren’t pairing. Not sure if this is an issue with the sensors or the apps. I would consider another company seeing as the products seem to have a high failure rate.
