It has probably every single word (unlike some French-English dictionaries) and can be used offline. I always use this app, it's great. There is a feature where you hear a word being pronounced but don't rely on this, a lot of the time the words are pronounced wrong.

The single biggest no-no is full-page ads. Utterly detestable. It's ok if you switch wifi off - that stops them. So, useful if you don't have wifi access, awful if you do. Same goes for the Russian version. If your copy does not have full-page ads, don't update it!!!

Very useful and quicker than a traditional dictionary however:

-   There is a constant and annoying stream of intrusive pop-up adverts.

Used constantly in my french course. Better than flicking through a paper dictionary. I use this every day with no fuss. 

However, the constant adverts that appear that you have to wait to disappear are extremely annoying. 

I guess this is the price to be free.

This app has many good points, but it's French expressions are frequently badly grammatically incorrect. 
They miss out the verb and other words.

I have a number of French and German  Dictionary Apps and this is by far the best. 
Since writing the above the App sound has stopped working and  the pronounciation  is one of the real benefits of this app. All other apps on my iPad with sound are working, as are  all other sounds.   There is nothing in the settings to deal with this no contact to report the issue.  Pity otherwise a great app but no sound is frustrating.

Even while I was using the free version of this app, one of the most useful features was the pronunciation tool (which was activated by pressing the speaker symbol). All of a sudden it has disappeared. I thought that perhaps it is due to my using the free version, so I have paid to upgrade to the fully functional version. However, nothing has changed and it is still not there!
