## Digital iD Description
*** Please note before downloading: the Digital iD app service will be closing on April 30, 2026. ***
Australia Post regularly reviews its products and services to align with changing customer preferences and behaviours. Following a strategic review, Australia Post has decided to exit its Digital iD service.

Imagine using your phone to securely prove who you are when you need to. No need to carry your wallet with you to get into a participating bar. You, your phone and the tap of a button. That’s Digital iD™ by Australia Post.

Use Digital iD™ to prove you’re over 18^, and for everyday tasks like collecting items from the Post Office. Use Digital iD™ online for redirecting mail, applying for a police check or opening a bank account with participating organisations, and more. Anyone living, studying or working in Australia can use it as proof of identity.

It’s easy to start using Digital iD™ to prove who you are in person:

Enter the details of two ID documents (including your passport or driver's licence)

Take your photo and then complete verification at a participating Post Office.

If you’re 18 or older, you can get a free Keypass in Digital iD™ that you can use to enter licensed venues or purchase alcohol in select States and Territories^.

Find out more at DigitaliD.com or contact us at help@digitalid.com with any comments or suggestions.

^ Keypass in Digital iD™ is accepted as proof of age to enter participating licensed venues and to purchase alcohol in VIC, TAS, QLD, ACT and NT (excluding takeaway alcohol in NT).

Note: Due to legislation, you must be at least 15 years old to use the Digital iD™ app.

## Digital iD Reviews in Australia

### *---- "Worst app ever made"
Everyone who has anything to do with this app is a pathetic snake dog
-- Unsubscribedd, 2025-01-21

### *---- "Absolutely pathetic"
This isn't a scam in the usual sense. It is a scam in that the 'service' is completely useless! My “code” has never come through. I was unable to use the service as expected. I would NEVER recommend this App to my worst enemy!
This App is truly a disgrace! If I could rate it as Zero I would!
-- Third-try, 2025-01-06

### *---- "Useful for nothing"
The so-called Digital ID Builder is an exercise in data collection by Australia Post. There is no need to collect all those additional pieces of information.

This app is useful for nothing.
-- Not worth it 4685886, 2024-12-15

### *---- "Can’t just transfer to new phone"
I have a new phone and just wanted log back in to the app. Instead, I have to set it up again. No
-- Richie_Black, 2024-12-12

### *---- "Not even worth one star"
Primitive app!
-- Charuckshy, 2024-11-28

### *---- "Great app but useless"
Big thumbs up to the developers who made this app , the user interface is easy to use and intuitive, digital photo id registration process is quick and faultless. The only problem is our local post officer doesn’t endorse this app and insists me to provide other id or else won’t let me collect my parcel. Now I’m deleting this app and going back to the good old driver license which always works!
-- Nowater42195, 2024-11-06

### *---- "Waste of time"
Didn’t work. Asked for a 6 digit pin, then only allowed 5 digits, and when I entered the same 5 , I got a message saying they didn’t match. Typical Post Office, pathetic
-- 453*, 2024-11-01

### *---- "Why do we need a digital ID"
New world order and the Antichrist mechanism is in progress. Unless you are a Christian of Faith you won’t understand. If the post office is hacked that’s it your photo is on the internet and identity is on the web for Ever. You cannot recall or is there for good.
-- GrekAU, 2024-10-26

### *---- "Pin reset requires 24 hour wait"
What in the name of ? Why do I need to wait that long? What of I need to access my ID now for Centrelink application? And even then, I entered the reset pin, it also came out with error message saying the entered code is incorrect. Is there another way apart from waiting 24 hours?
-- shishihenge80, 2024-10-25

### **--- "Useless"
Good idea but probably the most useless app out there. As I have tried to use this app at multiple places and they all have said it needs to be a photo of your id or 99% of the time they won’t even let u use it and need you to show physical id
