Best Free Budgeting App

Katharine98 on

Only free budgeting app that actually works and has good features!

Great app, just have one suggestion

hanzue4927473 on

Have tried a few manual budgeting apps but this one’s been the BEST so far in terms of clean UI, intuitive UX, and generally just how simple it is. I really love the graph in particular!! My only suggestion would be to remove the colour coding of the categories. They don’t add too much for me since the categories are already visually sorted by icons. This is where I think the colour could be better put to use: on the Budgets page, all the progress bars should use the same colours as the budget goes from 0% - 100%. For example if you’ve spent 0-33% of a budget, the progress bar should be green; 33-66% should be yellow; 66-100% should be red. The # indicating how much money is left to spend in a budget is already doing something similar and I think having the progress bar match would be a significant help visually, guiding my eyes immediately to the categories that I need to pay more attention to (yellow/red); right now having all the colours feels confusing. That being said, I am still very blown away by the fact this was created by just one person. Really amazing job to the designer/developer on creating this entire app himself - I hope you continue updating the app because I’m really impressed by it so far, no other app UI compares 😤

Awesome app!

Major Bug

Smitty68627 on

This app used to be awesome but for the past couple of months it has had a major bug where inputs randomly disappear requiring you to submit things multiple times. It makes it really hard to keep track of finances when some of just randomly disappear. Will have to use another app until this is fixed.

Great app to track Expenses and incomes

Nice app..! I really am impressed by its design and its features. In app, it shows graph to monitor your expense and income easily. Also the app is very smooth, animations were subtle and great.

Simple and Polished

dnysius on

One of the most polished apps I've used on iOS, with a very intuitive UX and clean interface. I don't like overcomplicated budgeting systems and this has everything I need so far. Really happy this exists!

This is an excellent budgeting app!

HoloWolfe3 on

Best budgeting app ever. It has lots of features, is entirely free, respect your privacy, has no ads and it does not sell your information.

Very promising

Akisbis on

Dime is very promising. It’s not perfect (yet), but the app is easy to use and does the job well to track the expenses. Tracking the expenses on its own is fine, but it’s lacking a lot on the analysis/insights side to understand where the money goes and how it compares over time and to other categories. Speaking of categories, it’s also limited to 24 categories and based on unique emojis, so it’s hard to record expenses in categories like “home maintenance”, “home taxes”… allowing sub categories could be interesting

Love it
