### *---- "Unclear, inconsistent, & conflicting information"
Direct Energy has taken the cake for the worst electricity company that I have used in Texas. Several customer service agents that I have spoken to both online and on the phone do not know the company’s policies and have failed to provide consistent information to answer my questions regarding my service, plan information, various charges, and don’t get me started on the average monthly billing plan. Literally, each time I speak to a different person, they have provided conflicting information to me than what was explained to me by the prior customer service representative on numerous occasions. Don’t believe the customer service representative or manager when they tell you that they will call you back to follow up with an update on any situation that requires research on their end. I had to call them back and it was weeks later, only to find out the answer was not what I was expecting. I can deal with an unexpected answer but the unprofessionalism of telling a lie about a simple follow up call is unacceptable to me. The app itself is ok at best. The actual usage data is behind by 2-3 days and the bar graphs on the charts you view do not have a legend to distinguish what each color bar designates for your usage data. Not to mention, the app does not provide an example of a bill that is consistent information to compare your actual monthly bill against when you’re trying to figure out how to read your bill. It’s like a completely different bill than the one I have in front of me without corresponding or relevant information that I need to understand the line items on my bill. Additionally, you are unable to see your current monthly invoice once your account is 1 day past due. How are you supposed to make an online payment if you won’t allow me to look at my current invoice? This is beyond frustrating to say the least! This is beyond frustrating to say the least!
